| IGN's expert advice to buying a good TV:
1. Take your XBox 360 to the store with you
2. Search on the Internet
LOL! Great guide if you're twelve years old and the result of a summer romance between retarded cousins. Like, the walls in the mall are totally, totally tall and some junk! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Surprising considering the number of old people living in Arizona. And Utah's dental care never struck me as being all that great. Maybe they're just really into the whole DIY thing over there in West Virginia. Do your own taxes, do your own dental work. That or they brush their teeth with sugar water. | | Oh look at the nice Blizzard people letting the poor defenseless WoW loser sell his unauthorized guide. They're so generous. Wait, what's that? Blizzard had no legal case? Oh look at the poor, stiff, Blizzard suits who lost the pinching pennies. They look so helpless and forlorn. How sad. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Good frakkin lords of Kobol who cares? They're really stretching out this game of monkey poo slinging aren't they? So apparently, it doesn't matter if you're a businessman on the board of directors, the CEO's receptionist or some random dolt who once took a dump in the company's public restroom. If you're in any possible stretch of the imagination associated with Rockstar games, then you clearly must be a police murderer. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Well, Intel kicks buttocks in synthetic SSE2 benchmarks, no surprise there. AMD kicks butt in synthentic memory performance benchmarks, again not a huge surprise and they're both similar in game performance, no real surprise to me. Either way, good solid products from both companies will be nice. Hopefully Intel and AMD will strangle each other's profit margins right back into my piggy bank. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Ah ok, I know what you're talking about now. I thought maybe he appeared in-game somewhere again like he did for HL2 that revealed something. Thanks for clarifying that. I would have gone insane looking around although I will still probably turn on the commentary track and have a spin around some of the more interesting levels now. Flag this | Edit this post |

| My only complaint with the game wasn't the flashlight zombies (even though I already got more than enough of that with Doom 3), it was actually "escorting" the retarded volunteer troops to the damn train. I think Valve must have gone out of their way to make these particular bots as stupid and annoying as possible, not to mention being totally contrived and tedious. Otherwise I had a real blast with the game.
Anyway, I missed whatever was revealed about the G-Man I guess. I'm going to have to replay and pay closer attention. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Nice article. Top notch recommendations as usual. However, while it's nice to have a good quality htpc box sitting next to your receiver and other components to show what a gadget geek you are, I have a slightly different vision for the ultimate multimedia setup.
In my opinion, the smaller amount of visible clutter the better. And by visible clutter I'm not talking about neatly tucking away the cables from the bazillion of devices you have. I'm talking about having no devices at all. You should see only your flat panel or plasma and *maybe* your speakers and nothing else. No DVD players, no receivers, no HTPC boxes. I've already accomplished this to a certain extent. I have two of my older boxes, a P4 and an Athlon XP sitting in my basement, each with a terabyte of storage and 3 HDTV tuners and 2 analog tuners split between the two. One machine holds all over the air and cable recordings. The other machine holds all of my DVDs and music. These are nothing more than file servers which serve content throughout the rest of my house, to the plasma in my TV room and to flat panels in my bedroom, to my study and to my kitchen. Eventually my goal is to have each of these displays powered by a Mac mini (or equivalent) neatly tucked away out of sight when they improve. At the moment I only have one Mac mini powering the flat panel in my kitchen due to the fact that Mac minis currently have sub-optimal audio capabilities and I only need stereo in that room. My main plasma TV and my bedroom TV are both powered by Shuttle XPCs.
All of this is powered by Linux and MythTV. Not for everyone, but I wouldn't trade my efficient, clean, and above all, quiet setup for the world. Flag this | Edit this post |
