| » Slightly annoying I've played both the PC and 360 versions. I must say that I really find the multi-functions bound to single buttons to be ANNOYING. Get a little excited fighting the Atlas and suddenly none of the commands seem to work correctly.
I finally realized that I was mashing and holding a little too much. I know that I'm the problem but it's still annoying. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Why am I not surprised? I used to love and look forward to UbiSoft games. The early Splinter Cell games were a ton of fun.
Then they started sinking to this type of behavior.
There are plenty of other studios and I'll gladly give them my gaming money instead. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Oy... I find their "clouded" judgement annoying. It causes me to ponder upon the quality of the actual game.
Going with OnLive will erect an unecessary barrier that could keep away curious "drive by" players who could then decide to buy the final product.
As for me, I'll pass on the demo and take my sweet time getting the game if at all. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I'm also very annoyed at the fact that you only have savepoints. Hell ME2 does a wonderful job of savepoints and it lets you save where you want to.
And, by the way, how the hell do you shut up the marines shouting "move up, move up"? I have to play that segment with my sound off as it gets so annoying. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Well, isn't that special... "We're working on it, trust us." They've spent their time getting the new engine to work on all three platforms and that's fine.
Just don't leave the PC folks waiting on your promises. If it wasn't for us playing Far Cry and Crysis and loving them, there wouldn't be a Crysis2.
Never get complacent and never take your customers for granted. Especially the loyal ones. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Personally, I would... I played the first and went back and played through it again to "get in the mood". It'll give you a greater appreciation of the c$#p that Issac has already gone through.
If you're right-handed it'll play just fine. The problem was that when they ported #1 to the PC they "froze" most of the key assignments. There are key mapping work arounds that I had to use, being a lefty. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I love this game. Also, possible SPOILER I loved the first play through on this game and am in the second one.
It has all the elements I liked in the first with great new twists to spice things up.
SPOILER - I think
The sequences that really creeped me out were those lit by black lights and glowing Luminol. Just saying... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » And my wife and I were 38 when my first kid was born... Nice try with the "you must have gotten her pregnant in High School" dig. Kinda' weak...
Sorry, I've looked at the videos and the ones with the most "disgusted" response appear to actually 55 or older.
My point is that most people of that generation (which is mine) and older didn't grow up on games and have no real understanding of what horror games are. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » All righty then... This does seem in poor taste and playing up to the 10-17 age group will most likely backfire in some way.
However if this one action alone will throw you off from buying the game then I seriously doubt that you ever intended to in the first place. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Excellent point...
I would have a lot more respect for them as well if they'd just "fess up". We all understand "more money".
Instead they come across as little marketing weasels... (I have such respect for mareketing departments, don't I? And sorry weasels to compare you to them...) Flag this | Edit this post |

| I used to love the Splinter Cell games. Then Ubisoft forgot who supported them before the current gen consoles.
Ubi-baby, I won't even bother wasting my money on your "stuff" until I can get it in the bargain bin for $5, if then...
To say that I'm dissapointed in them is a major understatement. I understand that they could care less about me and PC gamers in general but I wanted to b#$ch anyway... Flag this | Edit this post |

| You do have to ask "Why?" don't you? What could they possibly gain by such micro-management of your installation?
Maybe they'll use it as an excuse when the new Splinter Cell "offering" runs slow as...
"Must be your network connection, it can't be our code..." Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Alan who? I have to admit that I was quite taken by its premise when it first surfaced. But to be honest, it was starting to resemble Duke Nukem to me and I moved on...
I'm glad it's out, but I've lost so much interest that I'll wait until I can pick it up for $10 used at a certain game store...
It sure does seem that MSFT is just looking to lock Wake up to have an exclusive to battle PS3 offerings. Same crap that they did with Halo at first.
In addition, I feel that MSFT is just blowing marketing BS again on the "experience" angle. At the end of the day, when I sit at a comfortable distance from even a 50'+ widescreen, the amount of my FOV that is taken up is far less than that taken up by my widescreen monitor when I'm PC gaming. So, sorry MSFT, but my PC monitor "experience" is more "compelling" to me.
Sometimes I get the feeling that MSFT's gaming group thinks that all PC gamer's are still on 19' VGA displays...
