| Ah, I see now! So, he's like a Country/Western song. We play him backward and he gets his truck back, the significant other is alive, his dog's back and he learns how to separate news from opinion.
This "snarky tone" reminds me of the supposed network news. In the past, commentators (talking heads) would report the facts of the news and then have a section where the word "Editorial" would be displayed on the screen.
I don't mind "witty remarks" but not this snide 3rd grader "look how smart I am" crap.
This is why I get RSS feeds from a number of different sites. I can get a feel for what's going on and if some pseudo-intellectual moron tells me to GTFO if I don't like their style, no big deal. Flag this | Edit this post |

| DO YOU ALWAYS SHOUT?
If you have a point to make, yelling doesn't make it any clearer.
Apparently you've never had a kid in a hospital ward. Most would jump at any console and not sit there whining that they're too good to play on an 360 and will only settle for a PS3.
You need to start taking your meds and relax. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I agree and personally would hate to see the merger happen.
However, at no point does this seem to be about us, the gamers. All of the blather spewing forth from the board seems to be financial positioning. They appear to care about us as much as EA does. It's too bad to as they could keep the competition going.
However, if EA wants them badly enough, the offers will go up and the share holders will eventually take the money. This is one of the unfortunate effects of taking a company public. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Now let's watch the stock price slip and see how the board justifies their rejection of the offer after that.
Now that one analyst has talked about the elephant in the room, I expect others will jump in with similar statements. Flag this | Edit this post |

| And this one will also be overturned by the courts. Even in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts.
Why do they keep wasting tax-payer money? Probably for political gain, but I wish they'd stop.
It's like watching flies around a bug-zapper. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Curious, where did you hear that?
I have an MSDN subscription and downloaded SP1. There was only one SP that covered all of the Vista versions.
I installed it on my machines that are running Ultimate and it's working just fine. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It'll be interesting to see how many investors actually follow this "command" from TT.
On one hand we have a board that has proven its avarice in the packages that it's put together for management. Plus their only excuse for turning down the initial offer was that "we're worth more". My rejoinder to TT's board would be that if they're worth more, then why's the stock price where it is?
On the other hand, you have one hell of a premium being offered for the shares. In today's investment climate, most folks go for the bucks, not loyalty to a suspect board of directors. Flag this | Edit this post |
