| You know, you should learn to open up and say what you really mean... ;)
Seriously, I think that you're dead on about the properties right-click. I'll get used to it. However, it'd been nice if they would give us an "expert" or at least a "not new to computers" option that would provide the XP right-click experience. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I have to agree with "what do you expect". The orientation of the community is not exactly a tightly kept secret.
My worry is that there are extremists in any population and that trouble may eventually erupt.
During a recent vist my family, especially my kids, was verbally assaulted while just walking down the street. No comments by us, no judgmental behavior, h#ll, we don't care what lifestyle you have, but we were actively sought out. And why pick on kids?
There's an obvious feeling of imperviousness displayed in the behaior that I witnessed and I'm afraid that will eventually lead to some form of backlash. Flag this | Edit this post |

| The blather out of Sony recently reminds me of the up-tick in the wild propaganda that came out of the Nazis towards the end of the WW2. And no Sony fan-boys, I'm not comparing them to the Third Reich.
They're losing overall electronics market share right and left and seem to be banking an awful lot on the success of the PS3. Obviously they're counting on their sheep, er, slavish fan base to cough up the money for this box.
On top of that, they turn around an include Blue-Ray standard and set the price point twice that of the Wii. There must be some serious recreational pharmaceuticals being handed around those offices. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I've been playing with the Vista betas as well and I like the new OS. However, whether Vista is a good move or not isn't the point of this message thread.
It's the annoying fact that MS would hold Halo "hostage" to force folks to upgrade. If it required DX10, then maybe a case could be made, but it uses DX9 so there goes that argument.
This move shows what too much money, too much arrogance and too little common sense can do to a marketing group. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I have to agree. Buy Vista just to play a what, 2-3 year old game by the time Vista actually is available? MS has a tendancy to buy into their own nonsense as this proves.
I'd be more interested if they were doing this with Halo3 and would make Halo2 available now.
But, who cares what I think? I'm just an end-user. Flag this | Edit this post |
