| | thats all good and well until 2 people ambush you. medic is quite fragile and while you do regain health, the medigun certainly isn't for serious combat. especially if you're against a fast moving opponent like Scout where the slow syringes will very easily get you killed. it all depends on your team mate thought.... | | Playing medic is only fun when you're healing gamers that aren't total newbies. often I end up healing idiots that rush in using the Kamikaze tactic (forcing me to rush to since Medi gun's range is limited) and get both of us killed :\ I only play medic when i'm playing with familiar players. otherwise, soldier or engineer ^^ also, the Syringe shooting gun you have is totally worthless unless the target is really-really close to you. | | Well, as far as maintaining compatibility goes, I would certainly give a shout out to AMD. back in their glory days (2005 was best I guess), AMD X2s were compatible with nF4 based boards while Intel required one to purchase 925 (?) chipset based motherboards for their EE and PentiumD CPUs. Intel has always pushed their new chipsets, if you look back, most of them offered incremental performance differences anyway. funny thing is, this was when Intel was getting whipped by AMD. even then, Intel refused to bend over, I fail to see how this will change when they're dominating the market. IMO, this is similar to ATI and Nvidia dogfight. Nvidia knows their current GPUs already mop the flour with ATI counterparts, why should they bother or attract unnecessary attention by posting PRs or leaking stuff. there's nothing worse than bad press after all; making promises and failing to deliver them is a boo-boo to say the least (*cough* Barcelona *cough*) but like you said, it'll be interesting to see how all this goes. atleast from a consumer's standpoint :) Flag this | Edit this post |
