| » Roth/VanHalen Reunion 2nd Try they tried this like 10 years ago. they made one appearance together at the grammys or mtv video awards. roth was a loud mouth idiot and that was it. never heard anything more about it again. until recently that is. face it... david is an ass. eddie is a great guitar player but he's seen better days. they need the money. this isn't about making great music. and when it comes down to that you can count me out. | There's another side to that: if it hadn't been a big celebrity, Mel Gibson or otherwise, we would not have heard about it, he probably wouldn't have been ostracized from whatever industry he worked in.
I don't condone what he did, but I think it's a bit overblown. When there's nothing on TV and I happen to stop on some entertainment show and three quarters of their time is alotted to this there's a problem with the media and the culture that follows it. Suprise suprise.
On a side note I don't think I'd want Patrick Swayze's support. I didn't like him when he was popular. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I remember reading the 23 year old's apology. "I'm sorry. Oh this could happen to anyone, I don't remember actually pissing on it" or something like that. And that's supposed to make it ok. It just didn't seem heartfelt at all and then to say anyone could do that if they were drunk enough. I think his drinking might be a problem, eh? And he just shrugs it off as if everyone gets that drunk from time to time. Throw the book at him. They should let a bunch of veterans have a big piss on him. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The last Nintendo console I owned (and still do) was the SNES. I'm excited for Wii for some reason. I think Nintendo thought about why they weren't selling as well as they used to. I think they've got some good ideas. Maybe it's just the way they're marketing this time around... Flag this | Edit this post |

| Don't get me started on Mr. Harper (AKA G.W.'s lapdog). I definitely didn't vote for him. Unfortunately, for us there is no 8 year limit on him.
Back to the topic at hand: It's kinda funny though. The British Empire a few centuries ago wasn't that different than modern day US of A. They were probably worse. They'd get in their pretty boats, sail for a few months, land somewhere and decide the land belonged to them. Not to say that only the Brits did this but they were good at it! We still have the Queen on our money. Personally, I'd rather have Alexander Keith on our money or the Tragically Hip! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Oh ye of little faith IMO:
The guys at 3D Realms are like you & me. They're geeks that like to play games, etc. They just happen to program games too. They want this to kick ass & so do I. This seems to be taking forever, yes. It's been just over 10 years, yes. I've never lost faith in these guys. Why are people still excited? I played Duke 3D and remember how good it was. Others have compared since then but nothing has matched it. Flag this | Edit this post |
