| | I know what you are talking about some console site or mag did this, but then another publication I believe it was PC Gamer couldn't believe it so they ran a test where if I recall correctly they had console gamers and PC Gamers go head to head first with controllers, then only mouse and key board and then finally one against the other. They PC gamer didn't do as well as the console with controllers. Same for the console guys on the M & K. I believe they thought it was do to the lack of aim assist (just about every console game has this, you get the reticule in the ballpark and it does the rest.) Then the PC gamers just DESTROYED the Console gamers when it came to both going head to head. They did this on the PC version of HALO so they could mix Controllers and Mouse and Keyboard. | | IDK I would think more of bamboo pressed under fingernails. Hanging people from broken arms and letting them go untreated so that eventually they would be unable to use computers and then get made fun of for it in a political campaign. Or maybe getting sodomized with a coke bottle so that wherever they went in the world they would be reminded of the "experience." To be honest IDK why they would do it, because any intelligent person knows that torture is completely useless in that you cannot trust a single word they say. However depriving someone of sleep by say blaring loud and annoying music well that works perfectly. Giving someone the impression of a religious experience who by the way is not a member of a recognized military and fight in civilian clothing. hmmm...are code monkeys considered irregualr forces? | Sadly it was but in my defense I was under the influence of painkillers, you should see some of the e-mails I sent...but in proper response.
The point is mute, the energy the laser puts out is still small enough that exposure to it indirectly isn't going to hurt your own eyes unless exposed for a longer period of time. Besides that they do provide you with shades to protect your eyes...granted they aren't going to protect you very well if you point the thing right into your own eyes, but backscatter isn't going to be a worry especially with the shades. | I see this as an excellent PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) My mother who is quite capable of shooting a gun could take this on her walks and use it to defend herself against aggressive dogs, or wildlife. My sister as well. My Girlfriend could use it, and I would rather she does because she is a terrible shot and recoil usually gives her a problem. I hate less then lethal weapons because they do not give you a reason to stop, they TRY to make you stop. This gives you a REASON to stop.
The weapons isn't lethal...at least not for a while. It has a massive scare factor and it would inflict serious pain. If anyway isn't turned away by that then permanent blindness it an excellent finishing move. The people who are scared of it are probably the same who would ban the gun. It isn't the weapon it is who wields it people. This is an excellent quote from The History Channel.
THE GUN HAS PLAYED A CRITICAL ROLE IN HISTORY.
AN INVENTION WHICH HAS BEEN PRAISED AND DENOUNCED. SERVED HERO AND VILLAIN ALIKE--AND CARRIES WITH IT MORAL RESPONSIBILITY.
TO UNDERSTAND THE GUN IS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND HISTORY
Oh and in case you were wondering I ordered one. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Hi I am a Mac, and if you want to pay a premium for hardware that is sub-par in performance and an OS that has all the software of a PC and none of the games. Oh I do not get PC viruses or malware because I am not a PC, and I have such and insignificant market share that no one bothers to attack me. I am a Mac, and welcome to obscurity Flag this | Edit this post |

| | HAHAHAHA I played that shitty game on my PC and hated it. I think I played the first two levels and walked away without any regrets. When I played it on my friends Xbox I couldn't stay awake. So of course I wouldn't expect Gears of Bore to save pc gaming, because it doesn't need saving. It is quite fine the way it is. I do not want some dumbed down PoS on my system. | I love that X-Com is making a come back and since the last X-Com game was to be an FPS (X-con Alliance) I find it interesting they chose this to bring it back, however would have been much happier with a turn based X-Com. I am excited to see how this develops.
Edit: After thinking about this I am rather worried as it all it does it turn it into X-Files under a different name it seems. Also the tag line
"By setting the game in a first-person perspective, players will be able to feel the tension and fear that comes with combating a faceless enemy that is violently probing and plotting its way into our world."
that is complete hog wash. I remember being 10 or 11 and absolutely terrified as I approached my first downed medium scout (I did not know what it was at the time). Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Um the Source Engine is completely modular and as been upgraded several times since the release of HL2. That was the whole idea of Source. To create an engine that could be easily upgraded and modified to ease developed time and allow the developer to concentrate on bigger issues. Flag this | Edit this post |
