All three of you are the biggest nerds ever for commenting so seriously on a stupid flow chart made by some dork in about 3 minutes.

Wait. Now who's the nerd commenting on nerdy comments... Oh damn...

What I want to know is where JCal went. If he's at another site now, I'm taking Brett's "advice" and heading over there.

...although we don’t think Vantage will be as influential as previous iterations of 3DMark (3DMark 2001 definitely comes to mind). Had FutureMark released this benchmark a year ago it certainly would have been more significant...

Amen to that.

Frankly, Take-Two's shareholders would be maroons if they didn't take the deal. It's very generous for where T2 is at right now, and other than GTA they don't have a hell of a lot going for themselves at the moment.

» Yeah, Sure
And the weapons from the BF2 expansion packs didn't cause any problems with the regular BF2 either...

The weapons have to be overpowered, otherwise no one is going to pay for them in the first place.

Nintendo is still printing money.
Sony are back making money hand over fist.
But MS's spin sounds a bit weak...

MS definetely doesn't have the best online service, they only have a paying online service, which is something quite different.

I would rather believe Brad Wardell rather than an anonymous forum contributer that hides behind a pseudonym.

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed to hear this news myself. It's not that good of a game, I hate seeing games like this sell on name alone.

Impressive, but somehow PC hardware just doesn't get me interested anymore... probably has to do with the lack of really groundbreaking games, Vista/DX10 debacle, noise/power/upgrade/money issues... or maybe just the PS3 fulfilling my gaming needs.

*sigh*

That's bull. HD-DVD never was the better format.

Actually, there wasn't a single technical aspect on which it was ahead of BluRay.

Yep, this time Sony didn't make the mistakes of Betamax, it's Toshiba & MS that did.

Found it rather boring.

But then I've never found any of the card games to be any fun on a computer screens... the fun in card games comes from the interaction with people far more than card games mechanics.
