| Best PC game: Spore?
That's absolutely crazy. Spore is crap.
There is almost no gameplay at all, and what there is is disgustingly tedious, repetive and tiresome. There is no simulation. Everything that happens you have to do yourself.
If you have the free download creator and have seen the cut scene videos as shown in reviews and commercials, you have experienced the entire game. There is nothing else. Flag this | Edit this post |

| SC4 is an absolutely smashing game. As a fighting game it deserves 5/5 or 10/10. IMO it's the best fighting game currently.
It does has some big flaws and bad decisions on gameplay (letting costumes affect powers, and the tower which is not such a great single play feature) but in other respects the game is so good it's still enough for a top rating.
The reviewer is obviously incompetent to review a fighting game. I play all kinds of games. I'm very far from the top echelons as a fighter. Even so, I haven't had as much fun playing a game as I have with SC4 for years.
Reviewing is a sort of consumer service. So letting someone who's not into fighting games review one is a major decision failure. It's kinda like letting my mother review Crysis. Now how the hell could she possibly be able to relate to the game in a way that means anything to the consumers who buy and play FPS'ers? Flag this | Edit this post |

| I normally look very carefully to avoid giving EA any money. I absolutely hate that evil, game culture destroying monopoly. But ok, I did buy Spore. I had looked forward to it for so long. Besides, I already had Securom f*ing my PC, so what the h*.
And the game is a big disappointment. Not crap, but dangerously close to it. Gone is the game Will Wright has demoed and talked about.
Spore ended up being something much different.
Seems EA directors have been envious of Pokemon, and figured Wills work should be something like that.
I do not understand the media reviews that give this game good ratings. It's worth maybe 4/10. But they prob just played it for 1 or 2 hours, like reviewers usually do. Flag this | Edit this post |

| "The scoring system uses numbers between 1 and 5. The overall score maps to the lowest of the sub-scores. This means that if a PC has a processor that scores a 5, the highest possible score, but a lousy graphics card, with a 1, the overall score will be a 1."
- But that is absolutely brilliant! Finally, a big player is finally going to, with authority, tell all those clueless, brainwashed Dell buyers what their crappy, unperforming systems really are worth.
The end of Dell's disinformative, misleading marketing BS. Wonderful. Thankyou Microsoft! Now what idiot "critics" could possibly complain about that? Flag this | Edit this post |
