| Why post anon? What the fvck is the point of that, scared to put a name on the comments you posted or what? Thats the only reason why I can come up with. Sounds like your an undercover sony fanboy haha
The thing is, YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY EXTRA for it if you dont want to unlike the PS3. SHow me the source link where they say "Releasing a next gen disk format is a waste of consumer money". I thought I remember them saying forcing it on consumers is a waste of money referring to what Sony did with putting blu ray in the PS3. Thats what I remember them saying anyway but I could be wrong as we all are sometimes if you can give me the link so I can read the whole story and not just a quote out of context. Please give me the story where they announced theyre releasing a new 360 with the HDD and the HD drive built in as well because I havent heard anything like that and im sure it would have been big news. I havent heard one person mention it either. But again if they do, its still not forcing it on the consumer, you'd have a CHOICE to buy the regular 360 or the supposedly new revised one you mentioned that i've heard NOTHING about. Thanks! | Yeah keep posting the same thing in every news story. Your lame haha!
5 out of 6 posts says "no soup for you" or something along those lines. It must suck to have no life and your entertainment is typing the same thing over and over again. "No soup for you!" "If there was soup, you'd have none." "Soup, you have none." Flag this | Edit this post |

| On the gaming front it's a gimmick, much like NVIDIA has two sperate 16x pci-e slots for DX9 based applications. (FIXED)
The blame should go on Nvidia for that one, ASUS just makes motherboards, they didnt design the 2x16 pci-e lanes or claim it was needed, NVIDIA did. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Again, I like that they continue to fail AND OR shoot themselves in the foot! The rootkit fiasco awhile back was the last straw for me especially after denying it all. They put a rootkit on two of my PCs with their CDs! I will continue to laugh everytime they fail or put their foot in their mouth with stupid comments like this! Doesnt it seem to be happening alot lately? I think your 5 million guaranteed dropped to 3 million the last couple weeks! Flag this | Edit this post |

| Wow, i'm glad you thought that was so funny. Might help boost your self esteem enough to make you get off your fat ass and go outside for once. Maybe go talk to a girl, something youve been scared to do your whole life. OH SNAP!!!
If you cant sense the sarcastic attitude, please dont reply. But anyway, im sure SONY doesnt give a shit what you or I do. And please explain to me what I've failed at except never being able to convine your mom to abort you after I hit it?! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Exactly right my friend! Something I was saying as well. Or SONY will force the set-top players to stay expensive so it has the mainstream public think theyre getting "a deal" on the PS3. I wouldnt put it past SONY to do that! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | IT STILL LOOKS HORRIBLE!!! hahaha CONSIDERING THEYRE SHOVING IT DOWN OUR THROATS AND MAKING YOU PAY FOR A DISK DRIVE NO ONE ASKED FOR AND CONSIDERING THIS DRIVE IS AVAILABLE NOW and the PS3 IS 6 MONTHS AWAY! EVERYONE KNOWS THAT NEW TECH. IS EXPENSIVE AND WILL DROP IN PRICE 6 MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD. The ps3 is still horrible whether the disk drive costed 1000 or 2000. It still doesnt mean SONY automatically won this generations console war because theyre console is $400 cheaper then a PC blu ray disk drive AT LAUNCH. YOu always pay a premium to be an early adaptor and have something right away. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This was never my claim, I was telling you what a guy close the dealings of the company has stated. It sounds about right to me and yes you are right about the reason they cut it off is that they arent making the money on it, I just meant that you were wrong about them receiving a split according to the person I was quoting above. They say that Atari is receiving no money from them, of course I never said this was fact, I even said "this is what the person is saying" meaning telling you what they said, I dont work for either company so I cant comment on things like I know they are facts. I think he would know more then we do. But anyway it seems to be that Atari owes Bioware monies for royalties on games developed. Atari's principle line of credit has been cancelled. And I quote
"At the same time, many of their unsecured creditors are going unpaid. This means they have not paid most of their developers all of the royalties owing to them on published skus Atari has sold in previous quarters.
"Most", presumably, includes a failure to pay BioWare royalties on retail product from the latter part of 2005.
Accordingly, any money which would be owed to Atari from premium mod sales would most likely be offset by BioWare against monies Atari owes to BioWare.
Remember - BioWare controls the BioWare store and they get the money first; they ain't sending Atari a cheque when Atari is not returning the favor. Atari would have been effectively forced to pay one of their accounts payable by way of set-off. So, in that sense, a liability is reduced on Atari's balance sheet - but Atari gets no cashflow out of it because Atari just isn't paying their bills as they should.
And Atari's announcement of an across the board slash of their catalog to $20 per title tells you all you need to know about Atari's cashflow: they are desperate.
In the end, Atari is in pretty much a "screw the fans, screw the developer, we'll do whatever it is we have to in order to make money" mode."
We both agree that the main reason Atari pulled the plug is because they arent receiving money from the sales, I never disagreed with you on that. I should have been more clear on what I was referring to when I said you were wrong. Oh well, I just hope they support NWN2 for as long as they did the original! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Totally wrong there my friend. Actually according to an insider report Atari makes NO money on these mods because the simple fact is Atari is about bankrupt and they havent been paying the money they owe to Bioware. Theres no split on the mods and one of the new mods was going to make NWN have ridable horses and Atari announced that as a main feature of NWN2 at E3(they made a big deal about it at E3, if the NWN mod was announced to have horses it would have taken some of the buzz/steam away from NWN2, thats they way theyre thinking. I dont agree, NWN2 will still sell a ton whether or not a NWN mod has ridable horses LOL but I guess Atari doesnt agree) so they cut the premium mods off and that was one of the reason s why according to the mod team. Atari wants the focus to be on NWN2 and strictly NWN2 and want the players to migrate to NWN2 which makes sense in a business sense but the way they went about it was wrong in my opinion and alot of other ppl on the NWN forums feel the same way. But back to the point about Atari not getting money on these mods, so Bioware keeps the money from the premium mods (they own the site and get the actual money first) as a way of recouping some of the money owed to them from Atari. This is what the leader of the DLA (mod group hired by Bioware/Atari and the main mod team cut off by this decision) is saying and it sounds very true and plausable to me. Why would Bio be giving Atari money when Atari hasnt been paying them the money for months? Why do Atari a favor when Atari has stopped returning the favor? All of this adds up to the main reasons why the mod team is no longer releasing premium mods. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Sweet, time to get an xbox and make my gamertag a picture of my wang!
No, not really, its a joke. But how do they plan on censoring/keeping the pictures/gamertags/content on the cameras kid friendly? Not that it matters to me as I'm an adult and can do and look at what I want but im sure the religeous/parenting groups will make a big deal out of it if any kind of adult content/inappropriate stuff makes it way on to their kids Xbox360. | This game has peaked my interest, will follow its further development, I just hope they do the name/characters/setting justice. Too many times a game based on some sort of license looks and sounds good on paper but turns out to a flaming pile of p00.
I have faith this wont turn out that way based on what i've seen and read about the game. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Of course I know the license is owned by someone else, was thinking maybe they secured the license. I didnt mention it in the above post because I didnt think anyone would think we would not know the background behind SS and its title/license. They can make an SS game if they secure the license or as you said go into a joint venture so its not impossible but I agree on the EA part, i'd probably cry right with ya, at least fake e-cry anyway =P. And I didnt feel like wasting my time going into detail. And yes I know about Bioshock, but its not a direct sequel which a real SS game would most likely be i'd imagine, who knows? Its all a guess at this point. I'd think it would be something different then SS, wishful thinking I suppose!
Yeah I seen the console opening as well, i'd think it would be developed side by side for PCs and consoles as that seems to be the trend these days, maximize the market which doubles the profits (thats what the hope is anyway from the publishers point of view) on only one investment. Back to waiting till they announce what the project is! Flag this | Edit this post |
