| » Umm ok then... FF 3.5 isn't perfect, no browser is... IE8 is still a bit unstable yet very nice... I still prefer FF because it's FAST. 3.5 is Faster than 3 was by far. FF rarely crashes IE6,7 and even 8 still crash too much. FF has sweet add-ons, Accelerators in IE8 are nice... I do notice that all the browsers steal each others ideas... Opera seems to have the most innovative ideas, but compatibility can be an issue occasionally.... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Agreed I love the 4830 it's just amazing to me that you can buy a card with it's performance for $100. I can remember saying not that long ago. If you want a gaming card you'll need to spend at least $300 if not $400. Way back when I bought my TNT2 Ultra for $130ish. That's the last time I remember getting this kinda bang for my buck. | » Who woulda known... Win 7 feels so much faster and responsive than Vista or even XP. I'm surprised the gaming performance numbers are down. Then again it's beta 1 and no doubt some of the OS is running debug stuff like a usual beta would from MS. We'll have a better idea when we get to like RC2... Meanwhile I'll enjoy it for daily tasks but stick with XP on my main gaming rig. I do miss the new ui when I'm using XP. Something I could never say about Vista. Also Beta 1 of Vista was way worse performance wise as I remember... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I love my HD 3870 from Gigabyte My HD3870 from Gigabyte is amazing, I love it. Easily the best Video Card I've ever owned. It's a model GV-RX387512H. Hands down the best value I've ever gotten in a video card. My next video card perhaps a 4870/1GB or a 4850X2 will be be from Gigabyte. Sorry no pic of the card, it's in my current gaming rig. Lame self of me with box included... Link: http://mysite.verizon.net/vze1......es/DSC01771.JPG Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Thank You finally... Finally my C90S has a decent graphics driver. I've tried everything but with mixed results. Some features work with some thing but not with another driver. Video acceleration works with this driver but not with that one. This games works with this driver but not with another driver. My 8600M GT has been a nightmare. I installed these drivers last night. I haven't had an issue with them yet... yeah... woot... cross fingers... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » blah The real king of MMOs is really EverQuest 2 for PVE, features, content, etc... WoW is a beginner's MMO, it's so basic in so many ways. WoW is tops for PVP, although I've been told Warhammer is almost as good PVP... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I don't think so... Unfortunately I don't think so. VIA must have an x86 license for their Centaur series. Maybe Transmeta has owns one. Perhaps that will transfer to whom ever buys them. Intel has tried to fight the validity of the license in the past many times over and failed before. I wonder if Intel's patents on x86 are ever goin to expire. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Depends on the market segment. What if they where designing it to compete with windows home server. It had everything included to run a reasonable home server and windows/macs seamlessly networked with it. Perhaps some sort of media pc. Basic web browser and media playback technology easy to connect to a tv, etc... There are possibilities, the first gen BD and HD-DVD players where essentially pcs modified for that task only. To compete with Windows/Macs as an standard os maybe not. Apple however has been making their own oses for years. OSX is a nix clone at it's heart. Why can't HP or Dell for that matter make their own nix clone os and it take off? Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I really hope this is a temporary trend. I really prefer everything on my pc to my 360 esp. RTS and shooters. Action not as much I suppose. A tie on rpgs except there are many more mods for pc rpgs, so I'd give the nod to the pc on that too. Since the 360 controller works for the pc too, sports games are better on the pc as well, mostly due to load times. Damn gamestop with it's used games are killing the pc. lol... | » F**k Y** Don't hate on the Pats... It was a great game...
We'll be back next year... Oh crap I feel like a friggin' Yankees fan now argh....
It was more fun to be a Pats fan when they where always the underdog...
How the hell is Tom Brady more annoying than the Mannings. If I see another ad with Peyton I'm gonna tear my own eyes out. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » That'd be interesting! Considering that the blue lasers are about $150-$200 of the cost. A $100 blu-ray player would be an amazing value. Hell Sony could buy them pull out the laser put it in a ps3 and drop ps3's price by $100... blue lasers or not $600 is too much for a console. Hell $400 is too much for a console. I guess I'm just a PC gamer through and through. I have not problem thinking about paying $600 for a Core 2 Duo E6600, MB, and 2GB of DDR2-800. I have no problem considering dropping $430 on an 8800GTS. lol... Hmm somebody give me $1100 and I'll get both... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » That's not all... I use mine as a portable movie player. It's the best portable movie player ever!!! I can put 8hrs of perfect quality video on my 4GB MS Pro Duo. The picture quality is unreal and the screen is fantastic size for something you hold a foot away from your eyes. For $200 plus less than a $100 for the 4GB memory stick you can't beat it.
