| It gonna take time, they need to work on the drivers for it. When something new come out of course there gonna be problems.

| Its not broken, MS took the hal out, you can still use EAX with openAL games. OpenAL games are not effected. and you get hardware in those games. Even those without hardware theres games that dont use Direct sound hardware. Games that uses it own software for the sounds.
Like Half life 2 and Vegas. I dont have a XFI anymore I have A oxygenHD based sound card.I dont have to turn down any sound settings. You might have to but I dont.
The New vista mixer does make the sound better. Too many people are reporting it. I notice the improvment.
for older games that uses Direct Sound hal creative is working on a wrapper which covert the call of Direct Sound to OpenAl.
Games that uses there own sound engine I have 5.1 sound in. And games that uses OpenAL most of those I have 5.1 in. but any game that has Dobly support I have 5.1 in.
As alreadys it gonna take time for sound drivers for every one to improve even more. It doesnt bother me for 5.1 in older games that dont have dobly support.
I can just upmix them from 2 channels to 5.1 with DTS neo on my sound card be encoding it. just have to wait for newer drivers with it enabled. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Windows Vista will get better over time, It not as bad as people think. I running it as my main now. I not really having any problems that should be called problems.
most of my games work even older ones I have laying around. It be a matter of time before it gets perfect.
DRM suppose to be data protection also, I dont really mind the DRM doesnt bother me at all. The new audio mixer is good too, since I did notice improvments in my over all sound with it.
Goku we get the idea your a raging teenager. If you dont like vista then dont use it. No one forces you to upgrade. Just use what your happy with.
Also dont force your opinions on to others.

| I not weak, so I dont get addictive to mmos, I just play them for a bit then rest and play some other game and come back to the game the next day.
I dont spend crazy ammount of hrs in the same game like alot of other people do. So I do have controll over my self. Flag this | Edit this post |

| you do realize you can play pop on your computer with a gamepad so keyboard and mouse isnt always a have to be option.
People need to realize theres Gamepads for the pcs. So if you dont like the mouse and keyboard controls. just plug your X360 pad into your computer . Or buy a PC game pad like a logitech Rumblepad 2 or s Saitek p880. Flag this | Edit this post |

| it could get to 3k if you bought it from alienware or if your going quad core intel and 2x8800gtx then maybe 4xgb of ram and raptors.
But you can built a High End gaming machine around 800-1,500 if you used newegg.
You could built a gaming machine around 600-700 also and it will still play new games fine.
It tends to be more if you start trying to go like the highest conroe model and then Dual cards setup.
You can really save if you go like the lower conroe model and Overclock it. Thats what I do with my cpus.
Whenever i upgrade cpus. I go to the lowest model and just OC it and gain more for less.

| since I game on my computer, I dont really care about the blu ray player which we call a ps3.
If I want to play movies I just wait for the dual format movie drives. Because no point of having a blu ray player since then.

| Yea those tv ads are stupid. i feel like grabing the mac guy and throw him into the ocean with sharks. Then Slapping apple for trying to say we're stupid.
They dont say any thing about buying a new mac every time a new one comes out. or paying more for mac vers of the video cards.
I still remember that 400 dollar X800xt for the mac when the pc vers was like 200 back in the day.

| If you dont like it that much then dont buy it. The only reason i liked on the pc because of mouse and keyboard. I didnt say it was all that. i found it to be ok.
It funny to see people bashing people because they happen to enjoy the game on there pc .
The only people that needs to get a clue are the people that bashing people for playing the game on there pc.
Just because you hate the game do not mean people on the pc suppose to feel the same as you. I dont like the game as much as the people on the xbox but i though it was ok.
You have no right to tell me what game i allow to like or play. I'll play whatever game I want as long i feel the game is ok.
Yea I enjoyed most of the games you listed also, but i dont like BF that much. Then again I like alot of games that alot of people will hate.
In the end its a matter of opinion on what games people like and dont like. People insulting others over a opinion is inmature and always leads to fights.

| I did enjoy it too, but if they had co-op on halo pc I would had enjoyed it more.
Some people dont think that. theres people with pcs that dont have Xboxs that might want to play halo2. And do not want to go out to buy a xbox just for it.
I know I wouldnt buy a console for one game. If you dont like the game then dont play it.
I just hope they make a good port this time, with co-op. This time bugine is doing it and not gearsoft , and bugine dont have MS telling them no about editing the code.

| Thats lame making people pay 140 to ship it back over something MS update did to there system. And I though people that had problemsing getting rid of the Xbox live account was waste.
