| There doing that event to thank the players for being with them during trouble times, and for finding bugs that apearred and so forth. that has nothing to do with there stock.

| If they destory you then you didnt set up your skill belt right, and you didnt have your skills planned out. of course they would destory you.
I played in the arena without elite skills and i had my skills planned out and i won fighting people who had elite skills in there belt.
Thats why you need to have alteast 1 or 2 protection skill in you belt. of course you will get pwnt if you dont.
Then Skills to cancel magis users spells rangers skill that knocks you down that does no damage works. that concusion skill where it stops them from casting spells and makes them fall down when ever they do is anoter good one.
If your a Ranger Your pet can come in handy since it will run and attack whoever your attacking. Or your army of undead, or spirits.
Then its good to have skill in your belt so you can take less damage or give more Hp to the max for a bit or healing skill.
So the reason for most new people to loose in the arena is because they didnt plan out there skills and some times put all attacking skills with out any protection or healing skills. Or had skills that the other player had protection agaist.
So it not really the game fault if that happens and also no need to be a sore looser either. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Neither may work out if Microsoft puts out Direct Phsyic that there working on, but I would rather use Direct Phsyic then using HavocX
Plus havocX hasnt really shown any thing all they been doing is talk blah blah. Show us what you can do, dont use words and expect everyone to belive you. I doubt HavocX could do the stuff that the PPU card can do.
Also after the PPU card go thru its update thru firmware. I belive it will be better then what it is. Think it like this, I take the ppu card for the sole reason of it lasting longing. Your not gonna have to buy 2 more video cards later on when the 2 you have aernt enough for the games.
The ppu just get firm ware updates, and get new stuff and so forth. While you just wasted like 400+ on 2 more cards for SLI setup. So i see 250 being cheaper then 2 video cards in either SLI setup or a CF setup using HavocX.
I dont know about you I know where my money is going once the 256mb PCIE ppu card vers coming out. And I can tell you this, I not buying another video card to use it for something other then SLi. Because if i buy a video card,it would be for SLI not phsyics. And I didnt buy my DFI NF4 SLI-D for phsyic so it not happening.
So i not spending 290 on another 7800GT to have it go to waste being a ppu card which it was never meant to be.
Dont give me the "get a job line"because I can afford it, I just not about to waste all of that money on another video card when the PPU card is out there doing what it suppose to do.
You all can buy another 7600GT,7800GT, or 2 ATis cards to do HavocX all you want. I one person who not gonna suppose HavocX nor Nvidia and ATi ideas on doing it. Even if ATI way is abit better then nvidia idea. Flag this | Edit this post |

| just because you dont notice the jaggies with the res up do not mean every one esle doesnt, the jaggies are still there even if you up the res.
I know because i still see them and i dont even have to look for them. I'll take AA over HDR since i dont have a ATI card which can do both.
I played many games forgetting to turn on the AA at 1680x1050 and i notice the jaggies. There a eye sore. so no matter the res if I see jaggies AA going on screw HDR. Flag this | Edit this post |

| One thing,Guild wars isnt a mmo, its all instance. The towns are like lobbies. Once your in the town its like a lobbie where you ask people to go on missions or to adv into the world.
Guild wars is just a RPG just like Diablo. Its not massive. If it all instances and you dont see any other people outside of the towns and missions, then it isnt a MMO.
So they haven proven any thing since it wasnt a MMO in the first place. You can argue that it is all you want. Go read around and you will find for your self it isnt a mmo.
Now paying Fees isnt the mmo model its needed to keep the servers up and etc with all of those players running around the world which isnt istance.
Auto Assault world you see players all around, you go in towns you see people and when they leave the town you see them out in the field. now Auto Assault is a mmo since every one is driving around the field and shooting stuff.
in GW you and the people that are in your team are killing stuff thats it. Thats the flaw people think because its online thats its a MMO.
The makers of Guild wars dont have to put up with the strain of 1000+ players in the same area casting 1000+ spells out in the world.
Also I never said the mmo has to be pay to make it, because theres Free mmos that dont do that well.
So Tech, theres no free 2 play mmo that proven that the game can do good without being paied for Since GW isnt a MMO. I know how GW is my self because I play it on daily basic.
And I know MMOs. As i said read around , and other people will tell you why Guild wars isnt a MMO. Playing the game it self should give it away. Flag this | Edit this post |

| You cant not compare a MMO to a FPS. there 2 diffent types. That be like comparing City Of heros to Freedom Force.
BF2 is a FPS and those stats dont really many any thing. All you really doing is unlocking kits getting ranks. People can cheat to get those stats.
BF2 is not a MMO because its not Massive, 64 players is not massive when you compare it to a mmo. Its called MMO for a reason which stands for Massive muiti online. Which means 1000+ players.
in order for BF2 to be a mmo, you would have to take out the single player part of it.
make the teams/factions like 100+ and make the maps like planetside like how the people get to them. or like shattered galaxy where you walk to a area on the map to join or start a battle.
So other words BF2 would have to go thru some changes for it to even do well in a MMO world. Then BF2 will become another planetside or It would become War Rock. I wouldnt play BF2 if it was a MMO unless it became like those 2 games i listed.
battle field 2 is a super simplified database compared to an mmorpg. mmorpg has to keep lots more information then a first person shooter and it takes alot of maintenance. Thats a reason why they have monthy Fees. Unless you want them to not fix any thing and improve any thing.
Free MMos get away with it because they have Cash shops that you can buy items that you dont get normally like extra effects cool looking stuff and so forth. So there money froms from cash shops. Flag this | Edit this post |

| For the res and ratio for widescreen, you have to edit the config. the same way you had to do for doom3.
go into the config and change the high to 1080 and the width to 1680 if your display shows that. and change what it has for R mode to this r_mode "-1" Flag this | Edit this post |

| I would buy the BFG ppu card i saw for 250 dollars before i spend 280 for another 7800GT just to turn it into a software ppu card.
To me that slly, I would never buy a video card just to turn it into a ppu card to do it in software.
If i want phsyic. I go get the card that was made for it. Not a card that wasnt made for it in mind.
The GR3 1.10 patch plus the updated driver looks to fix that fps lost and gave people a boost.
If you have SLI or crossfire setup then of course they wouldnt see the boost because the drivers was made with single card setups in mind.
Maybe later they will add the muiti card setup fixes or so to the drivers.
but anyway I sure hell wouldntbuy another BFG 7800GT for that just to waste for something it was never meant to be. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I can built a gaming pc for around 566 matter of fact i have made partlist for people with those low budget.
Giving list that i made for them off newegg so they know what to get.
Sony must be drinking some kind of wine if they think ps3s will replace computers in the home.
Now for the blu ray drive, if i want blu ray I go buy the LG dual format drive which is both HDdvd/blu ray and have them both for 500 dollars
MS isnt gonna make a Office for the ps3.Futuremark wouldnt make a benchmark for the ps3. I dont know why you would want to type your home work on a ps3 with no way of printing it out.
Now for the comp, amd64 3000+ arock 939 dual sata2,1gb,X1800XL,160GB HD,Dvd dual layer drive and more can be built around 566. So i dont see sony replacing pcs. when you could built one , and then built one even cheaper. Flag this | Edit this post |

So those who bought this alienware computer with that blu ray drive in it for 999. Be all upset because alienware Pwnt them.
