| » Ummm....no! I keep up on the news. I read all the stories about what MW2 lacks. I also own the PS3. I chose the PC version because I do not like 1st person shooters on the console with the gamepad. Not to mention I have a pretty decent computer (GeForce GTX 295) so I can crank up the detail. I love the game, however short the campaign is. My choice, and from the looks of it...the choice of many. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Another consideration... While I prefer FPS games on the PC versus my PS3, another facto is that...if I buy a console game...chances are I can get $15-$30 of the money back trading it in at Gamestop. But...once again PC owners get hosed because GS stopped taking PC games as trades long ago, so I'm stuck with it unless I sell it somewhere (which is difficult).
I'll still buy FPS's for the PC...but my frustration with crap like this MF2 fiasco is wearing thin. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » $39 to $49 to $59 to..... That's what we said when they went from $39 to $49. Now it's $59...plus tax. My point is...I pay console prices, and I then am stuck with this game unless I can sell it on Craigslist or somewhere. At least when you pay for a console game...I can recoup some money toward another game.
But...I don't want this on the console. I buy these games on the PC. Better res...smoother...and keyboard/mouse combo. So...I'm not paying it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » BS Nice...our economy sucks and they pull this crap. There goes the sales...I hope it bombs and they realize they screwed up so it goes back down to under $50.
Here's my reasoning...at least with the console games, I get a return when I trade them back in for other games...usually get $25 back. With PC games...they do not take them as trade-in any longer. So, the lower pricetag was economically viable. Now with them costing the same as a console game...the PC sales I think are going to be down. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Nice...but... We shall see if these DLC's continue once L4D2 is released. I'm guessing...NO. New product typically means decreased and diminished support for it's predecessor. I hope I'm wrong about this though.
Chances are though, once I pick up L4D2, I won't play much of L4D1...but who knows. I'd prefer, like many other fans and supporters, to just pay for an "upgrade" of L4D1 that adds the new characters, creatures, maps, etc. But we won't go there. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Stealing ideas? My question is...was Walking_Target designing a game with the Spitter? Or did this individual post the idea to a forum of some sort, thus making it public? Unless he had a patent on it, you just shared your idea with the world once you put it in an open forum.
Knowledge is power, and those who have the knowledge have all the power. Once you share your knowledge, you share the power too.
Besides, I think these "boycotters" are idiots anyway. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Bought it...LOVE IT! I'm loving some Monkey Island all over again...with HD graphics and voices. I was worried at first when this game had the loading intro screen with the OLD graphics. Then I remembered...this IS LucasArts we're talking about here...so I patiently waited and when the new HD graphics loaded...WOW. I see what they mean about the water...it looks fantastic.
My 11 year old daughter sat with me, and watched as I played through a few opening sequences. She was disappointed that I was quitting. I told her this game was around when adventure gaming was king, and games were really good!!! Can't wait to play some more this weekend.
Does anyone know...with having to use the activation key...if I can install on my laptop as well? Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Definitely!!! I'll definitely pick this title up. I highly recommend to anyone...if you like adventure games...and have never played this title...pick it up. I've played it long ago and absolutely loved it. They seem to have put some work in remastering this, and for $10, it's worth it. Full voice-over? Sweet!!!
Seriously, this was a great game. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Just can't While I love the old classics, and played the hell out of them, I just can't replay them. I can deal with the nostalgic graphics, but the having to read all the lines and the clicking...I just can't do it.
I visited my uncle, and he had the original PONG game hooked up to his TV. I thought...cool!!! I played that for days. Well, I lasted no more than a minute and just couldn't retain the interest. Guess I'm spoiled with today's graphics and gameplay. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Thanx Great...thanks. I got home from work last night and found that the CD/DVD drive was gone. W7 wasn't recognizing it anymore. I looked in Device Manager, and it was listed as "unable to start." So I deleted it, rebooted, and W7 tried to install the driver, but failed. Very strange. I attempted this several times, all with the same result. You also can't update the firmware for a drive when the drive isn't recognized in the first place.
I did find potential fixes for this problem when I googled it, so obviously others have experienced similar issues. I will try the rollback before the updates and see what that does. My wife wants WinXP back, and I keep telling her that this is the RC of W7, so it'll have some issues. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Verdict still out on W7 I installed W7 on my wife's Dell laptop this past weekend. Everything went great initially...then after all the updates it went through, the system just became sluggish. I've had the blue screen of death three times, and everything is sssslllloooowwwwww. Does anyone know if there is a way to do a repair install of the RC1, or do I have to reformat and reinstall? If so, I might just go back to Vista and wait for the retail of W7 in October. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » LAZY Funny how other games that come out on console AND PC are similar in nature, and all have multiplayer. Guess Atari was just too lazy or too stupid to figure it out.
Good point though about the price difference. I have the option of buying the PC, PS3, or the Xbox360 versions...so I guess it boils down to choice. I like the idea of sacrificing multiplayer and saving $30, since I don't do much multiplayer. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » GREAT NEWS I agree...Bioshock was a great game. Can't understand anyone hating it (unless they have bigger issues like hating first person shooters). Looking forward to Bioshock 2, whether it's a prequel or sequel.
I also agree that it's best to ask forgiveness...usually what goes INSIDE my computer is never known! Guess he doesn't handle the finances! Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Ahhhhhh.... So that's the trick. I was wondering why I never get the achievement. I've only completed two from the beginning.
It's funny, I've gotten to the end of Blood Harvest and the other (name escapes me) where you escape by boat...and I always DIE. Right when everyone runs for the escape vehicle, I die. I can survive the other two no problem. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Vista not bad My Vista machine runs great. Boots fast, everything runs good...I have no problems.
This is not to say I've never had issues. The first install was bad, and I had to redo it. This required a call to Microsoft for some reason.
My sound was botched up for a while, but I attribute this to Creative drivers for my X-Fi card.
IE still locks up on me from time to time. Not sure why. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Agree! I have my PC hooked up to a 42" LCD HDTV (1080P). I was out for a week until someone came to repair it, and I have to go back to my 19" monitor. I couldn't deal with it. I ended up not touching my computer for the whole week...you get spoiled. I even hate using my wife's laptop. Flag this | Edit this post |
