Hey, I thought the article was pretty spot on. I , too am concerned about too much paper/rock/scissors. I think the paper/rock stuff takes away from the benefits of micromanaging. One thing SC was great at was balancing micro/macro managing (which you mentioned in the article).
Also, super weapons are very C&C, although they made an appearance in SC in the terran nuke. Obviously, the nuke was not that powerful and it was difficult to get off. Essentially, it required large amounts of micro for a payoff. If the SC2 super weapons are similar, I have no problem with that.
Apparently, Samsung is the major chipmaker in the new device. Other chips from Broadcom, Marvell, and Cambridge Silicon Radio are also purported to be in the new iPhone.
