| Does anyone on here know if there are patches for Rise of Nations? I'd appreciate it greatly if someone could tell me. Gamespy is all messed up on RoN, it almost always kicks me out of my game. I was told by my friends I need "patches" to fix it. Is that true?
Thanks. Flag this | Edit this post |

| "Next-gen" or not, all the games I mentioned are bound to be classics for years after there release. Burnout5 and Final Fantasy 13 are two games I sure as hell will not pass up.
As to you, BigScooter, there ARE games that holds a "candle" to old-school FF games. Final Fantasy 12, eh, what do you think of it?
I think, no pun intended, that you are just too conservative in your FF selection. Dude, wake up, the FF's for the NES and SNES are DEAD. Yes, they may live on in your heart, but, man, really, you've got to wake up sometime.
The days of "old-school" Final Fantasy games are over. Now, go grab a copy a FF12, your Playstation 2 controller, and a big, puffy pillow and sit down and play Final Fantasy 12.
I'm sure even you would agree that it is "almost" up there.
Final Fantasy as you know it is obsolete.
Now, it turns out FF may be in "danger" of turning into a full-blown action game.
If that is what you fear, just look to Square Enix: they are fully aware of the weariness of diehard fans of the series like you. People that fear change in the FF battle system.
Well, I do not truely know what your problem is; but the fact is; gamers (as a majority) are always evolving. We demand different games. We demand variety. We demand that foreigners be expelled from our country, er, emm, lol.
What I'm trying to say is this: do not fear change, my fellow FF "nerd." I still think FF7 is the best FF, but 12 is sure-as-hell going to make it a bumpy road for the final question. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Yes and no. I am saying that we should always be prepared for the worst possible scenario.
But at the same time I'm (trying) to say that no matter what, there is always exceptions.
I'm sure you know what I mean, if not, than ask again, I'll explain it again, if that is what you wish. Flag this | Edit this post |

| I hope you all realize theres ALWAYS something wrong with the first gen of any console release. Now, obviously not ALL units are this way, but I can tell you from personal experience (I recieved a defective PS2, PSP, AND Xbox on launch day of all systems) it happens very often. Whether it be bugs, programming problems, or just plain-out crappy quality craftmanship, every console has more than it's fair shares of problems, but is certainly not limited to just the first-gen. Alas, I'm still getting a PS3 on launch- it's looking still looking bad@ass. Since I'll only BARELY be able to buy 1 game at launch- I'm definently getting Resistance: Fall of Man. That game, I believe, is going to give Gears of War its run for consumer dollars.
We can only speculate at this time, however. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Na, I'll help. Wait for Burnout 5 to come out next year. Now that's going to be an awesome game. THAT's all you really need to look forward to, unless you count in RoN 3, FF13, FF Crisis Core, and many more games I cannot think of at the time. Burnout5 is going to be a great game, it's obvious already. And on the PS3- it's going to be top-of-the-line. Sorry you other two. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » MEDIEVAL 2-FINALLY! Medieval 2 is going to be the best, single-handedly, RTS of 2006! I am so looking forward to it. So, while I'm waiting I'll go spend that $400 I HAD saved up for my PS3 on upgrades to prepare for the brutal graphics card specs the game is bound to have.
Anyone else who likes RTS's as much as me--come talk to me! RTS's are the best genre! Flag this | Edit this post |
