| | Geez. Why are people so defensive. Why is it so hard to believe that coding over to Xbox 360 and PC, that a developer may not want to go through the extra steps to optmize on PS3 as best as could be possible. I never implied that Carmack is a bad developer. I just find it hard to believe that the Xbox 360 is 200%-300% faster than the PS3. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | There are basically two kinds of companies. The first is the one where most companies are in and that is simply to offer a product at the lowest price than the competition regardless if the product is necessarily good quality. The other are the companies that like to continue adding value to their products by making it better than any other company and also provide more features than any other company. They are also the company that people turn to in theory for the best quality. Apple doesn't want to get into a price war with Microsoft so they are choosing to be company number 2. | | I kinda get the feeling Microsoft was punk'd. It doesn't sound like Apple to care about a commercial. Kind of like when Sarah Palin thought she was talking to the French President when it was just a radio jock pretending to be the President. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Given that it's the strategy they used with their CPUs and that they don't publish their GPU margins, I am not sure I believe them. Remember this is also the same company that lied about the performance of Phenom, the reason why the processor was so delayed and also shipped with a hardware bug. Oh, and they seem to have a problem making a profit each quarter. In a way, AMD is lucky that there aren't any other CPU competitors. OEMs are just keeping them alive to keep competition around which is great for us but if there was a 3rd company which could compete with AMD CPUs, AMD might have gone out of business a long time ago. | | Well, both channels are frustrating. It's gotten to a point where I pretty much just buy console games. If you buy a PC game on disc, you have to worry about rogue copy protection software being installed on your PC without your permission. If you purchase online, you have to worry about activations and de-actvation and limits on number installs and such. I used to love driving to Fry's on the day a game launches, pick up the game I want and start playing. Now, I have to search for copy protection information, activation limitations and how buggy is the game. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | It is sort of the same thing. Microsoft charged more for Windows to the system builder if the system builder offered Linux computers in their lineup. I actually think Intel has acted much more like a monopoly than Microsoft ever has. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I hate it how ATI likes to emphasize WHQL certification as if it means much. Doesn't matter what type of device you have, just because a product is WHQL certified, doesn't mean it is bug free or better than non-WHQL. It is just so OEM's can put that ugly Windows Vista Ready sticker on the computer. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I love my PS3. Sad to see SOny lose so much money since I would hate for them to skimp on the PS4. The Xbox 360 is nice but too many problems. My Xbox 360 is currently on it's way to Microsoft for repair (DVD drive). Second time I've had to send an Xbox 360 back for repair. My PS3 and Wii have never given me any problems. | | Government receives inflated tax returns due to bogus housing market. The government spends more money than it earns based on these revenues and future expected similar results. Reality rears it head and housing market collapses. Government is already in debt and needs more money. Blame internet taxes. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Kind of sad. Microsoft and Sony continue to add value to their products and lower price whilst Nintendo just keeps reaping money from customers without giving them anything worthy since the launch with the exception of online multiplayer. I'm glad I've only purchased one game for the Wii since I've purchased it. I tons of games for my 360 and PS3. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Keep in mind that ultimately, video games are targeted towards kids (even though a large adult population plays them now). As such, they should be priced at kid prices. $40-$50 is a better price. Imagine if every kids toy cost $60? Flag this | Edit this post |
