| | The game is fantastic and it delivers on all fronts imo. I don't know how folks think that getting away is easier this time around. I sure don't when you are on a mission where they are supposed to chase you. Maybe when you are not on a mission but I had a hard time on some missions where the car I had handled like crap or another car hit me and caused me to crash allowing the cops to get me. One thing about Supes that has not changed is that he doesn't really have a great fighting style. He relies on his powers and strength and that is what makes him so pathetic in my eyes. My bet is on 3 9800GTX cards being able to best the Quad SLI setup and I also wonder how three Ultra's would do. You may be able to get an Ultra card for less than $600 these days. | ^^^ Talk about someone who has no idea what he is talking about. Yeah man you keep on believing that PC modding and gaming is on its way out ... you really crack me up. Crysis sold damn well compared to over 75% of console games on the market and in my book, hell anyone's book selling over a million copies of anything is doing a great job. It doesn't have to be a Gears of War or a Halo 3 ... are you kidding me.
And modding too hard to people ... wow man you don't know anything about the unreal mod community ... there is sooo much good content for both the PC and the PS3 it isn't even funny and this is in just under 4 months ... and the Valve modding community is alive and well. With plenty of great upcoming PC titles like FarCry 2, Fallout 3, Project Offset, Alan Wake, etc. you are crazy if you think this is going away.
And who pays $600 for one video card these days? Man you are uninformed if that is what you think ... 8800 GT cards cost as little as $195 and ATI's new cards cost even less. You can even pick up a GTX these days for a little over $400. My two 8800's GT 512 Superclocked cards totalled $600 with shipping and everything when they first came out and prices have quickly come down and if you go on even the Epic forums plenty of people are buying new rigs or upgrading their existing rigs so they can play this new generation of games.
PC gaming isn't going anywhere ... even if Epic fades from the scene some other company will see the opportunity and move in. Crytek is a great example of that and there are others. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Well that director must not play any RPG games ... that is the only time you really feel any emotional connection to characters in a game and that is mostly due to the time you spend in that game world. In a game when you are done with it in 6-8 hours that is not enough time to connect with any chacacter and feel tremendous loss. | | Calm down? Are you joking? I just corrupted my install trying to get this patch to work ... and its ridiculous you would have to reinstall a game to install a patch ... that is insane. I have been playing PC games for over 6 years and I have never seen that from a top AAA game ... I have UT3, Lost Planet, Time Shift, WiC, FEAR, Quake 4, QW:ET, Stalker, and none of these required that for their patches so excuse me if I find this pretty ridiculous and it makes me a bit angry. | | The mod was a singleplayer mod so I am certain there is SP .... did you even play the mod? I did and it was a great mod definitely my favorite TC Mod for UT2K4. | Hell why not get one at that price ... its as good as getting a game ... there are still a lot of HD-DVD movies around ... Beowulf just got released on HD-DVD and plus soon all those movies will be on huge blowout sales because they pressed soooo many copies. :)
What is really tough to swallow though is that it cost so much less than it did when it first came out and folks like me foolishly trusted that we wouldn't get screwed. A year later and it cost $150.00 less ... OUCH! Well I for one have been cured of being an early adopter of technology after this fiasco. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I don't agree with that ... if MS had put an HD-DVD drive in the 360 we's be saying goodbye to Blu-ray ... MS had a whole year headstart and the only reason that Blu-ray really took off was due to sales of the PS3 with built in Blu-ray. It was Sony who gambled correctly and even though they had to adjust their prices they won the bigger war ... the war for the HD movie format. If MS had really wanted to win the HD-DVD war they would have taken some lumps and made it standard. If I were Toshiba I would be blaming MS for the failure. Flag this | Edit this post |

Still with many games not being optimized for SLI I would prefer having the best single GPU money can buy. I mean it is a fact that the only reason Blu-ray is outselling HD-DVD is because of the PS3 so good for Sony ... they had the better strategy ... they had a long term larger scale vision they gambled big and they came out the winner so my hats off to them. Plus I had both so no problem for me ... and I will be enjoying my HD-DVD Movies for a long time to come and the good thing is old movies that I want I will just get on cheaper HD-DVD and since I have a PS3 I'll get all the new movies as well. I can't wait to catch the Matrix trilogy on sale for some ridiculously price. Best Buy, Walmart and the other places might as well start selling them for $5.00 because no one with any sense is going to touch HD-DVD any time soon. Man this is going to be like Christmas.
