| | that point is moot anyway. All steam is doing is selling keys. You still have to go to the official eve website to download the game. Why involve a third party that is just going to take a cut of the sale for not actually doing anything. Flag this | Edit this post |

| have you ever played crysis? It runs fine on my 5 year old 3.2ghz p4 with an x1950 video card. I play it at 1280x960 with everything set to medium, which still looks better than farcry with everything on high!
It's not perfect, but considering how old my computer is, I can't imagine it playing worse on newer computers.
And the gameplay is extremely FUN! just what a game should be. Flag this | Edit this post |

| what happened before the video started? We could be missing a big part of the picture and the reason why the cop was so pissed. Sometimes these things are edited just to make the cop look worse. something this particular kid did set the cop off. the other kids weren't being harrassed.
Or it could be that this cop is just an ass. lol. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | hmm, let's see now. National Geographic videos are distributed by WB. WB announced that they are going bluray only. Now NG announces they are going bluray only!! Imagine that!! This is the most stupid news item I've seen in a while. Of course they are going bluray, they had no choice since WB is the one making them. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | the numbers do mean something. It doesn't matter when the game came out. They are only releasing total sale numbers for the year. So whether it came out 4 years ago or 6 months ago we still know how many sold in 2007. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I'm not impressed. Looking at the graphs with the average framerate everything looks rosy. But when you look at the minimum framerates, the amd/ati cards just don't cut it. They were dipping down close to 20fps in some games when 8800 was only dropping into the 50's! Minimum framerates are what make or break the game, not the artificial average you get because of some freakishly high fps you get at the other end. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Eve is alright for the first few months. then once you've done the same missions over and over and over hundreds of times you get bored and leave. Unless you like to pvp, that is the only thing to do after running the same 10 missions over and over. Then get you're credit card ready to buy lots of game money to keep replacing the ships and equipment you lose in pvp.
And as for being on steam, that's worthless. All you will be able to do according to ccp is buy a game key on steam. You will still have to go to ccp's website to download the game and get any patches. What's the point? When you download the game from ccp, you can play for 14 day's free to try it out. If you like it, then you just pay them and get the key, leave the middleman out of it!! Flag this | Edit this post |

| | too bad it's true. sitting in front of a tv makes you fat. I ate all kinds of fatty foods growing up, but there were no video games. I had to go outside and play to have fun. Now a lot of kids are actually eating healthier, but still getting fat because they aren't getting out and working off the calories. Flag this | Edit this post |

| seems just the opposite. The Harry Potter movies are available in both blu-ray and hd dvd, it's the hd that is the top seller, not blu-ray.
That seems to indicate that with all things being equal, hd is the format of choice. Flag this | Edit this post |

| no, it's not a good game at all. the graphics are pretty. but it's a computer hog and has poor netcode. and the gameplay just isn't there either.
I tried in beta and wasn't impressed, now I just bought it last month when I saw it for $19 to see if it was better than beta. It's not. It's interesting for a little while when you first start playing just because of the story. but it gets boring real fast. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | no, this is a most annoying bug for any user. It doesn't matter if you are smart or not. If you patch the game, you don't expect it delete your boot.ini file no matter how smart you are. ccp really screwed up big time with this one. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | It is the Romantics song. If Activision wants to use it to make money for themselves they should be willing to pay up. If the Romantics wanted too much money then you drop the song and don't use it. You don't steal it without permission. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | why not? why choose a laptop if you aren't going to be carrying it around? A 20" monitor and a fullsize keyboard on a laptop? This is a good computer for the vast majority of users, and takes up very little room. The enthusiast gamers that read this site won't find much use for it, but most computer users aren't gamers or power users. And they will find this type of thing to be very nice.
