| Nice to see you get in there. :)
Glad/sorry to hear about the big box! During the contest, it sounded like that was going to be about the end of the line for you - that (hopefully) get a little bit better? Flag this | Edit this post |

| Sorry. We figured that Quake 3 (released in 1999) was probably a pretty good starting point. :)
You are right, though - the site does owe quite a lot of its heritage to the original Quake, and Thresh's proficiency. Nice bit of history there... Flag this | Edit this post |

| Hey, guys:
Per the news article just released... we've decided to extend first round submissions until August 3rd due to the late inclusion of additional prizes (to give the people who have since expressed an interest time to get in).
Rules are the same - top 10 go on, and enter as often as you like.
We'll announce the qualifiers for the 2nd round on August 4th. Have fun! :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| Actually, if you don't mind, that may not be a bad idea. Just remove the blogs from the cluster - you don't need to erase them altogether. It's good work. :)
Thanks! Flag this | Edit this post |

| As Beefy said (and as I said in the original comment to his question in the news article, and as I said in a comment to the video you commented on, etc... :), no editing will be allowed for the clips.
YodaBlues has one clip which will be in the judging (the 2nd he submitted), but the other two - while really impressive - aren't going to be eligible. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » YodaBlues first out of the gate! Contestants: Pay particular attention to "30 Seconds of F.E.A.R. Combat" from YodaBlues. This is exactly what we're looking for.
Let's see some more carnage, everyone - or is everyone already deferring to YodaBlues' mastery? ;) Flag this | Edit this post |

| Absolutely - that's a gorgeous video, but we can't have it stiched together like that as an entrant. Sorry about that!
Nevertheless, points for admitting you don't survive for 30 seconds at a time. ;) Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Minor change - the anonymous voting is now worth 15% of the total score, rather than the original 25%. Also added the verbage about the spirit of the contest. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Hey, guys!
Jwhx: FRAPS (or any other app that puts an overlay in when unregistered) is just fine for the contest. No editing required - for that matter, if someone edits something, I'm sure it'd get additional scrutiny.
Vandy and Kess: C'mon - quit griping and get in there and make a video. :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| » I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack... :) Hey, everyone!
I'm back! :)
I'll be handling the coordination for this round of contests for FiringSquad. It's going to be fantastic working with you all again - I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone start putting up some videos to back up their bragging. :)
It'll be great to hear from you again. All the veterans from the Editor's Challenge in particular... check in and say hi!
