| Seriously, does this guy work for MS?
I just borrowed a buddy's 360 for the weekend, and amazingly, I found out I needed Windows XP and Media Center in order to transfer MP3s to the 360 hdd. You'd think if MS' plan was to make the 360 a general purpose computer, it would remove the arbitrary road-blocks. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This paragraph left me puzzled:
"Historically, micro ATX platforms have been shunned by enthusiasts. If you wanted upgradeability, you'd go with a standard ATX motherboard. If you wanted portability, you'd go with the even smaller SFF."
The writer set it up as if a point was coming, but it was just abandonned. After reading the article, and the extended hurdles of dealing with the micro-atx format, I'm left with the conclusion that micro-atx is completely useless. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I want to point out that it wasn't a leak, it was supposed to be released as a "research tool". AOL went so far as to change user data to a random number as a way to "anonymise" the data, but sadly, more than a few searches contain names and addresses that could be used to extrapolate personal information. | Damned NBA and their new age rules! Right in time to screw Toronto out of Greg Oden!
Also, "Gone also is the old eight-panel design, replaced by one featuring two panels — each bearing the signature "David J. Stern.""
That has got to be a joke, right? Flag this | Edit this post |

| Chris Morris from cnn.com has always been a pretty good games writer. In fact, I've occasionally read the gameover column and have come out *gasp* informed about something I didn't already know. As somebody who visits gametab.com about five times a day, I'm definitely impressed when the "mainstream" press produces something informative.
On the flip side, Wook Kim of Entertainment Weekly is totally backwards about the whole thing. Kim said that EW's readers aren't interested in games, and wouldn't know Will Wright, and that Dan Brown is a household name. Whose fault is that though? I think it IS EW's job to start pushing gaming. Kim said the reader base isn't interested in gaming, so why not try and grow the reader base? It's only a matter of time until people are talking about game devs the same way people talk about directors and authors now -and it's already happening to some degree among gamers with guys like Miyamoto.
