» Poison usage correction. Great article on rogues. There is one thing I would like to point out about Poisons.
PvP:
Never, ever use double crippling poison and put crippling on Main Hand. You're loosing too much functionnality by doing so. Always have different poisons on both hands.
Crippling offhand is the way to go as the applying rate is higher than some other poison and because you have Shiv that can instantly apply your Offhand poison if it isnt applied. But from my experiance, it is rare that crippling isnt applied in the first 2 shots on a target.
Choosing the right poisons depends on the team you are facing. If the other team is high on casters and healers, Wound poison on Main Hand, Mind numbing on OH. If the other team is high on casters, but not necersarly healers, mind-numbing on main hand and crippling on off hand. If other team is basicaly melee, instant poison on main hand and crippling on off hand.
Reason for going with other poisons than crippling on Main hand is b/c your main hand hits alot more than your off hand because of your abilities that builds combo points and finishers that are always used.
I personnally dont use Deadly Poison in PvP because it kills Crowd Control like sheep, gouge, blind, traps, etc. Even if envenom consumes DP, you cant synchronize that with other class ccs. Anyways, in BattleGrounds you shouldn't fight solo.
To sum up, never use the same poison on both hands. You're amputing yourself of rogues functionnalities and also gimping yourself in DPS while in raid. Flag this | Edit this post |
