| I really enjoyed this article because it approached something that many people overlook and don't think about when switching to a widescreen.
However, there is one critical incorrect assumption that you make in this comparison. Normally, a 20.1 inch 4:3 is 1600x1200. You are looking at a 20.1 WS at 1680x1050 and comparing it to a 1280x1024 20.1 4:3.
Then you have 1.92 MPxl versus 1.76 MPxl 16:9.
This completely invalidates your article. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Actually, I think the G965 is the first DX10 hardware, and the 8800 came out shortly after it. However, the G965 still has crippled drivers. I am not sure how Nvidia is coming along. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It shows that you spent time writing this, and that is certainly appreciated. However, I think you lacked one serious measurement in your battery life paragraph. You really should have included how long the laptop battery lasts when playing games! The title of your article includes the words "Portable" and "Gaming".
Also, I understand the Design/Construction heading, but why group Keyboard/Screen as you did?
There are grammatical mistakes sprinkled throughout, but I still think review is better than the others I've read thus far. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It definitely shows that you spent a lot of time writing this. However, there are a few things you should have done to make this both more interesting and more clear.
First of all, you should not overwhelm us with 35 configurations, especially when most of them are not even defined. I consider this an information overload; it is simply too much. I'd prefer you stick with one or two settings, and then vary the test system as much as possible.
I realize you are doing this in a short amount of time and can't necessarily afford to use different CPUs or even faster RAM. I haven't run an AMD system in a long time, but can't you change clock speed?
I can set my E6600 anywhere from 2.4 - 3.5 GHz, and can also overclock my graphics card 10-15%. It would have been more interesting to see how these system factors impact performance (my opinion only, of course). Flag this | Edit this post |

| You proved my fiancee right. She told me I used "Though" too often.
I think that is a correctable problem, but I don't even think my entry is being considered. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | True, but then I would be helping the competition before we even got to the 2nd round. Also, I would have ignored my own advice about concluding. I'd prefer to end the contest or start it, but not reside in the middle of the pack. Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Ratings I like how my rating started at 80%, and then some disgruntled reader (or should I say, contestant) gave me a 1. I do not see how it goes from 80% to 45% otherwise.
I suppose that is the trend? Flag this | Edit this post |
