| | This game is pretty fun on the 360. The graphics and physics are great. I'm surprised it wasn't more popular. I guess it wasn't marketed very well. I believe it came out in the US a few months after Europe for some reason. All of a sudden I saw a review of it on IGN about 2 months after I bought it and that confused me somewhat. The game is quite hard, and they AI could use some tweaking. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | My theory is that they can make a couple of maps (2-4) and charge for them easily on the PS3 network/Xbox Live, but they can't do the same on the PC. PC gamers would usually buy the maps as part of a full-on expansion pack, unless the maps were given out for free like in TF2. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I'm still playing Bioshock and I'm near the end. To load a save takes ages, and I have a 4200X2, 2GB RAM and a 8800GT. This must be do to the long time is takes to load all of the textures for the level. No other game I have takes this long to load (I don't think even the Crysis demo took as long). In GOW, the popup is easily seen when you switch between the death cameras in multiplayer. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Haven't developers realised the UE3 is a POS? The texture load times are ridiculous - just look at how long a Bioshock save takes to load, and all the long elevator journeys stuck into Mass Effect so that levels can have time to load. And Gears of War is full up texture popups and small pointless corridors added to waste time while an area ahead loads. COD4 looks awesome and loads a map in about 5 seconds. That is a good engine IMO. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Yay, another X1900XT owner. Seems like these cards dropped off the face of the planet. I plan on keeping mine until next year, and then I'll get a good 2nd gen (3rd gen?) directX 10 card. I just hope it runs Bioshock ok. Other than that, all I will be playing on my PC is Hellgate:London. Not really interested in Crysis. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Totally agree with the previous 2 replies - this game is awesome, a must buy. Will probably be game of the year - good graphics (Crysis) and good multiplayer (Halo 3) will not be able to stand up to fantastic production quality and story telling imo. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Took ages to download it, but I finally got and finished this demo. This game is amazing, the atmosphere is incredible. It's the first time since I played Resident Evil 2 that I was actually scared by a game. It's really tense. This is the first game I have ever pre-ordered. I went for the PC version since it's cheaper than the 360 version. Hopefully I can get it looking good and running smoothly on my PC. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | He didn't "bring it forth", he created fantasy as we know it today. Before LOTR, fantasy was all pixies and children's fairy tales. Also, on the simplest level, he invented Orcs, so anyone who ever uses Orcs in anything is stealing his idea. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure John Carmack said there would be no difference between the versions of the game on each platform. He was even interviewed about the engine while standing in front of the video running on a PC, PS3 and Xbox360 to show they were exactly the same. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Because not everyone has an expensive gaming PC. They choose to play console games because consoles are cheaper. Everyone knows it's easier to play a FPS with a mouse and keyboard, but of course developers will do what they can to assist users playing the game on a console. Why would they make it exactly the same as a PC and hurt the user's experience? "Haha dumbass! Look how hard it is to play our game on a console!" Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Finally someone who can think beyond "OMG teh grfx roxxorz!!11". I am in the same boat as you - I have a AMD 4200 dual core and a 1900XT, so I am sure I will be able to run it on OK settings, but there aren't any other good PC games around/coming soon that warrant an upgrade. And I am not going to upgrade just for one game. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Well said. Due to the same real world performance of the 360 and PS3, I think all this talk of Blu-ray somehow producing far better looking games is total rubbish. If game devs are really being limited by the capacity of 1 DVD, they would simply use another for "Part 2" of the game. Flag this | Edit this post |
