| is it really as bad as you claim? because i've played the demos of BioShock and UT3, UT3 had maybe a 2-3 second pop in wait at the start but that was it, the game ran exceptionally smooth on my 7800GTX, though I can't really comment on BioShock as I played it on my old 6600gt, I didn't really notice any texture pops, though I did play that on low everything with lag, also I played a little bit of GoW on 360 and I don't remember any pop ins either

| troll? pfft, i've played all 3 from my friends PC, only about 10mins each but that should be enough, Portal was interesting I would like to play through that, HL2 EP2 was more of the same, shallow combat and all, i'm more interested in the story, I hear Valve actually did something with it in this installment, TF2 however I wasn't very impressed with, it played dull and I was bored quickly, maybe i'd grow to it with more time but for now I could care less about it
and yes I hate Valve, they've burned me far too many times in the past (I was one of those retards who bought the HL2 Collectors Edition :@)
also, I don't care whether TF2 is worth the 50bux alone, one of the selling points of 'episodic' content was regular releases and a cheap price, well Valve has failed epically in both regards Flag this | Edit this post |

| | i'm also one of those who use Vista and find it great, the only problem I can think of was when I was playing FEAR by PC would blue screen when i'd alt-tab, which is no issue really as I rarely alt-tab in games (there was a funny screen and I wanted to load fraps to make a pic) and even then it originally didn't blue screen, it only started a while later, O and the games included aren't as well put together imo lol, they look pretty but I find teh XP versions easier to use a tiny bit Flag this | Edit this post |

| I disagree, if Oblivion can fit on a single DVD the problem will be later rather than sooner unless your making a JRPG with hours of 1080p HD video
with the HDD, one of the great mistakes this generation, multi editions of the single console, RROD and paying for online play (have people pay for all the extra special match making stuff, but not basic online play, we already payed for that when we bought the game :/ ) Flag this | Edit this post |

I don't know about you guys but after Nvidia's first attempt at dumping 2 vid cards together as one i'd never ever buy something like that, I hope this isn't the future of vid cards as it may be ages before we can get Crysis playable at max, they should go the Intel route and make something that's super efficient and uses little power Flag this | Edit this post |
