| Or maybe BECAUSE Dead Rising 2 is coming out MKR is threatening the lawsuit. Let's face it, if Dead Rising suxed, they wouldn't have cared and let the game die as shovelware.
...however, since it sold a bajillion copies, and the sequel will likely do the same they know there is money there to be made.

If you're an obvious Sony fanboy it would be nice (and less hypocritical) to declare such allegiances publicly prior to calling someone else a fanboy.
As for the better system I think it depends on how you look at it.
Multimedia capability = PS3 (Blu-ray 4 the win)
Online service = 360 (and its not even close)
Games = 360 (Give PS3 credit for exclusives, but when the 'inferior' machine CONSISTENTLY beats you in graphics & controls on multi-platform games its not pretty)
Mfg Quality & design = PS3 (Sorry Bill, even with the billion dollar warranty Sony has you there)
Price = Tie...BARELY. I agree if 360 doesn't drop price soon everyone will realize PS3 is a 'bargain' w/ Blu-ray Flag this | Edit this post |

| Who cares? This round is more or less over. Wii #1, 360 #2, PS3 #3.
Sad part is I know M$soft is working on Xbox Next already likely for 2010 (or Xmas 2009?) release, just when peeps are predicting Sony should 'catch up' or overtake.

| I was stoked after seeing the initial demo/trailer/cgi. It's kinda gone underground, but these new screenshots get me stoked again. Looks like a FPS/Oblivion hybrid...much prettier, with better action.
Should be sweet! Unfortunately from what I see I don't think 360 could handle it. (MAYBE PS3, but w/ its memory issue that might be a stretch too). Oh well, time to rebuild the rig for Crysis anyway :) Flag this | Edit this post |

| Move would have been better at $50 Price drop. This would have played nicely with the pending 360 $50 price drop. (Now you're close to Elite + HD player = PS3 price)
Truthfully to go mass market the player needs to be $100.
If HD wanted to go all 'scortched earth' on blu-ray they would have done what most consoles have done to get market share.

Finally, we'll be able to AFFORD a new system, or we'll finally get all the features they should have LAUNCHED with.

| Actually, in the good old US of A the sharks otherwise known as lawyers would be all over M$soft if they thought they had a case for a class action lawsuit.

| Whatever, as long as it comes out NA and EU and sells well who cares if it bombed in Japan? Its a fact they have different tastes than us and the Japanese market is becoming less and less relevant each year.
Finally there are enough kick a$$ reasons to buy a 360. Couple this, H3, GTA IV, DMC4 & MGS4, Fable2, and a price break and Uncle Bill can officially say he's won this round.
At this pace 360 will end up tied for 3rd AT WORST, if not remaining the market leader until the PS3 really picks up steam late 08/early 09.
...oh, don't even think for a second Bill isn't already working on the next Xbox. I'd expect it to drop late 2010. Flag this | Edit this post |

This is fav HD tactic, and if its not enough Blu ray is outselling it 2-1, now its trying to put the nail in the coffin.

| Until PS3 drops their price there is absolutely no reason for MS to drop the 360.
With Halo 3, Blue Dragon, and GTA IV coming out they will fianlly have some amazing games to rely on. Plus now that everyone knows MGS (and likely Resident Evil) will also come to the 360 the only exclusive left is FFXIII. Flag this | Edit this post |

Totally outfoxed Sony and left them scrambling. If Bill had of waited another year he wouldn't have the advantage now.

It's one step closer to having PC's integrated into EVERYTHING that don't look like sh*t (more similar to Star Trek or Minority Report).
Lets face it, even the most svelt PC (iMac?) still ends up looking like a$$ after you add wires from a mouse, keyboard, ethernet, 4 USB cables, ecetera. Something with a clean look and intuitive hand interface might work for a lot of people.
