As the tech. manager for a TV production company, I can assure you that this is absolutely wrong. Dimensions for a standard def. NTSC broadcast are 720x480 which is far better than the web one. Moreover the color space in NTSC is nowhere near as compressed at web stuff.
Maybe Firingsquad should stick to the things that they know about...
