I wonder how much of that 85% includes the 5 disk givaway with the purchase of a PS3 or could be attributed to the increase of PS3 sales. I'm one of those fortunate to have a PS3 and a Toshiba HD-DVD player and really thought HD-DVD would win due to standard features and lower cost. All of my friends, family and co-workers own an HD-DVD player due that reasoning and are quite surprised to learn that the more expensive and incomplete architecture of Bluray is winning. Sony even admits that early adopters of the 1.0 and 1.1 systems are screwed out of new features and MAY have issues playing future disks. That's a sure sign of greed and indifference to the consumer and one reason I'm holding off from supporting Sony as long as I can. Upconverting 14 dollar new DVD's works just fine!
I can't believe how popular this game is in Korea. I have a friend who recently moved here from S. Korea who said he knows guys who's parents even encouraged them to practice around the clock in order for the family to get rich with sponsorship. No school, no work, just gaming! Amazing
Agreed. Sad considering the comments and belligerent attitude of Sony this past week regarding the 2.0 ratification and early adopters of the Bluray tech. Thank god I bought a PS3 or I would be pissed after buying a non-upgradeable 700.00 player this Christmas.
I'm just not understanding why Bluray keeps beating HD-DVD when HD already has all of the features that Bluray WILL have with 2.0? Anyone?
