| so... lets see SupCom 2, wasn't like SupCom, from what i have read/heard, it was simplified due to also being developed for the console, and now C&C 4 is nothing like the previous games...
whats going on with the RTS games these days ??
sounds like EA is screwing C&C, man i miss Westwood ..... Flag this | Edit this post |

| all i can say is.. this is NOT SupCom 2 .....
been playing the campaign, once i finish that, its doubtful that i'll be spending much time in it, and more time in SupCom 1
Jacob, you forgot to mention that Supcom2 also requires Steam to even install it, let alone play it, which for me, is a huge negative, Steam almost made me not buy this game ..... Flag this | Edit this post |

i play WoW as well, and i am looking forward to the " recycled content " as you put it..
face it.. classic wow is almost empty, every one is in a mad rush to get to Outland and then Northrend. also, there are areas in classic WoW that need to be finished, Hyjal is a prime example. either way i'm looking forward to Cataclysm.
lastely: "A game that supposedly has 10 million subs at, let's just say counting China, an average of $7-10 per account per month. They're making approx 100 million/month in subs "
i see these comments on other forums, and they ALWAYS make me laugh... if any one thinks that the money Blizzard makes from the subs from WoW goes into their coffers.. think again.. the bandwith alone for the game i'd guess takes a pretty big chunk of that. Flag this | Edit this post |

| one problem though...
unless the source is in DD/DTS 5.1, you'd get DD/DTS 5.1 sound via analog.
the cards from Auzentech ( www.auzentech.com ) encode any stereo source into DD or DTS 5.1 sound, but this only works via Optical/Coax.
think Nvidia's Soundstorm back with the nForce 2 motherboards, same idea
so in order for the turtlebeach and Zalman headphones to work with the soundcard i have, i have to connect the card to a DD/DTS decoder that then outputs via ana log, such as a home theater reciever that has preouts, which then go to the Zalman headphone amp, then to the zalman headphones ... | looks interesting.. just wish some one would make something similiar to what Creative had a few years ago, optical/coax in, with either RCA out or " headphone " jacks out for all 5.1 channels, something like this would go great with :
www.zalman.com/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?idx=214
and
www.zalman.com/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?Idx=212
which the question is now.. how does the A40 compare with the Zalman headphones for sound quality and the surroundsound effect ?
the review doesn't say if the A40's use 1 set of speakers, or 5.1 like the Zalmans....
good thing i need a new reciever, the one i have in mind has pre outs, which i can then connect the above links to it, and with my Auzentech X-Plosion, will be great to have DD and DTS with out keeping any one awake :-) Flag this | Edit this post |

| all i can say looking at Nvidia SLI and Crossfire...
3dfx's version of SLI is LOADS better as far as the implimentaion...
why ?? simple..
no need for a game profile, or anything.. from what i remember when i picked up my 2nd 12 meg voodoo 2, put the card in, install the drivers, and saw a performance increase as soon as the drivers were installed, the comp had a reboot, and i loaded any game...
IF nvida and ATI could only do the same ...... Flag this | Edit this post |

| » Still buggy ??? i tried these drivers yesturday morning, and i'm back to running vers 178.24.
In WoW, i had a rather long video freeze, then a complete system lock, only way to get out of it, was to hit the reset but-ton. after the reboot, i went back into WoW, and BSOD with the " a fatal error has occured, and to prevent damage, you system was shut down " error msg, the only thing that changed was the vid card drivers, went back to 178.24, comp has been solid since .
any one else have any issues?? i'm running dual 8800 GTs on an Asus A8N-Sli Premium board with an FX 60 and 2 gigs of KVR Flag this | Edit this post |
