| That is true regarding PvE guilds, but only when instances are new. Because patch after patch they are nerfed into the ground and less skilled players can get the gear. Arena's are all about time. By the time the last reaches of the new content are reached the gear lines aren't that big from highly skilled to absent.
But I will say, that I enjoyed WoW while instances were fresh and brand new and all the leveling PvP BC brought when it first came out. I liked being able to be the first to learn the ways around and how to take bosses down. Flag this | Edit this post |

| "healers
always try to out-heal each other, dps always try to out dps each other, tanks always try to out-tank each other. doesn't matter if its a 40man PvE raid in WoW or a 6man PvP scenario in WaR..even beyond that crafters try to out-craft each other in mmos. the human competitive element is as strong in any mmo including wow as it is in any FPS, if not stronger. and i've been playing FPS since wolfenstein3D, and played wow for 3 years."
Out heal eh? Out tank eh? So you are the best healer in your 5 man, how does that yeild you better equipment then some other yahoo that plays constantly in a large guild on 20man raids and sucks at whatever role they do, do? Please explain that paradox to me, just because you play more, aren't as good, entitles someone to far better gear? Why can't there be super-skilled and hard (what I thought heroics were going to be) 5 or small instances to obtain equal gear?
The point is being good in WoW takes minimal skill, its all about how much time you invest. Time >>>> Skill in WoW If you think otherwise you are fooling yourself. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Ok fine. But here's the thing WoW in no way promotes anyone being the best at ANYTHING. Quake/TF guess what you can play with 1-10 people and be the best in the group server, and if you good enough, stand out amoungst the general gaming population.
Guess what in WoW, that doesn't happen. You either had to raid with 20 people to get the BEST PVE gear, heroics were a HUGE let down and a joke; arenas were just a huge boring time grind to get gear... so you could arena better... World PvP meant nothing and there was no reward for having actual skill that seperated you from the masses.
Edit: So I guess if you like a game, where you are rewarded, even if you suck. WoW is your ticket. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Sony just doesn't have the games. The reason I bought a PS2 was, FFX and MSG. Well they have MSG, but no "must-have" RPG like FF series offers.
Sony needs to just accept huge losses on the PS3 and cut prices to start moving units so they get more games. Flag this | Edit this post |
