» Guild Wars get a good review I have played many MMORPGS and let me just say that Guild Wars being a 'free to play' game is far better than most 'pay to play' MMO's out there. Actually to this date I can only think of one that is better, and that is Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. I played the so called 'King of MMORPG's' and we all know which game that is. (WOW) or maybe not so wow. Got to level 70 and got bored stiff. Raiding and PVP are a joke! But we are here to talk about Guild Wars.
Guild Wars on the other hand has only a level cap of 20, but hey I'm still playing the game! Been playing for over 3 years now and for the most part it has kept me going. I do admit that you cannot really compare an instanced world to something like WOW or WAR which is persistent, but the storyline is great and there are more than enough challenges and titles to rank up on to keep you hungry for more. PVP in Gwars is its strongest point and is by far the best in any MMORPG I've played. Warhammer comes close, but doesn't quite have the balance that Gwars has. The greatest thing about Gwars is the dual class or professions. There is nothing better than coming up with a build on your own that no one has, that totally kicks ass on the battlefield. Combining different skills from two different professions can make for some amazing battles, and puts Gwars entirely into a league of its own.
Whoever gave this game a bad review was either payed a shitload to say so, or doesn't know a good game if it was lodged up his backside. I mean strategizing your party and skills to fight a certain group of monsters in PVE is challenging and actually makes u think. In WOW and other games all you gotta do is repeatedly use the same skills over and over again, preferably the stronger ones and sooner or later the monster will die. There is no skill involved in that whatsoever. I'm pointing at you 'reviewer'
The graphics in Guild Wars are top notch. Obviously because it is instanced it allows for better textures and such. And seriously the game is not demanding at all. My girlfriend was playing it on a AMD Athlon XP 2Ghz with 512Mb ram and a Geforce 5500 card. Ok it didnt look great but what I'm tryna say is that you don't need the latest hardware to run it on full everything.
I have friends who played WOW and various other games and are now back to Guild Wars. So its suffice to say that Guild Wars is a great game and I won't be surprised if Guild Wars 2 owns every other MMORPG when it is released.
