i used to enjoy that site, several years ago, then he got all full of himself, surprised he's still that way, oh well, i guess he's crying because maybe more people aren't going to his site anymore.

if that's the case then what's the point of the 800x600? nostalgia?

is it REALLY that immensely difficult to run the same benchmarks at 1280x1024? i mean its not like you guys are benchmarking a new processor/graphics card every day.

I'm probably not the first to ask this, but I think graphs at 1280x1024 would be very usefull as that is more in the ballpark of what MOST gamers play at. I.E. i have little interest in what happens at 800x600 as I'll never play at a rez that low, and i have no interest with what happens at 1600x1200 because my projector only does 1280, nor do i have enough graphics power/cards to use that resolution.

i think all the interesting details happen in between the 2 extremes anyway, so why not show what's really happening at that resolution.

personally, any company that gets the fat ass kids these days to move around instead of being a future gold mine for the pharmaceutical industry, is doing a good thing by me.

so from these 4 it seems that price is the only thing that will matter in the end, other then whatever other hardware features one might be looking for.

i'm still more interested in the conroe then anything amd will be putting out for the forseeable future.

personally the only thing that would excite me about the ps3 launch would be if i could actually buy one and then ebay it for a nice profit.

loved freelancer/privateer/wing commanders/etc. tried the darkstar one demo only briefly, didn't have enough time to make a decision on it.

i just wish all these MMO's could also be available to the SP crowd, that way we don't have to put up with the kids/schedules/egos/etc.

can't say I've experienced any problems with the game as was mentioned in the preview, but i will agree that the ragdoll physics on the mobs (when killed/etc) are very nicely done.

all in all a nice game, even though i will only play the SP part (i'm assuming there's a MP, cuz kids cry OMGWTFBBQ these days if MP isn't in a game).

i haven't read the article, but does it really matter since the next round goes to Conroe? i.e. who really cares about AM2? and whether the ati/nvidia chipset is better?

UNLESS it plays out the same on the Conroe line.
