It doesn't seem, from these screenshots, that Halo 3 currently looks that much better than Halo 2. I'm giving Bungie the benefit of doubt, since it's early enough in development for this level of graphical quality. Some things, like the Warthog, the big laser thing, the bloodstains, and the lasers in the last screenshot, look really good, but a lot of the rest look like merely minor improvements over the same or similar stuff in Halo 2.
