| | (Post a comment) » NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GX2 Quad SLI Performance PreviewEver since it was first demonstrated at CES in Jan, we've been wondering how fast NVIDIA's Quad SLI performs in today's latest games. Well, today the wait is finally over and we can finally show you benchmarks! Inside you'll find benches of the GeForce 7900 GX2 running in a Quad SLI configuration against the latest cards from ATI and NVIDIA at 1600x1200, 1920x1200, 2048x1536, and 2560x1600. We also dabbled with a little bit of GX2 overclocking for good measure! You won't want to miss these results... | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

Who ever it was saying that NFS MW looks better on xBox360 id have
to disagree with. Running at 1280 with some of the shadows down
(shadows kill like 30 frames in that game) it looks and runs way
better.

I'm actually pretty impressed by the performance in most of the
games, however, two things:
1. These benches show that game developers need to rein-in their
coding. If new games cant do 60fps with all the eye candy on when
you have four of the most expensive gpu's monitors and power
supplies running them, perhaps they should turn their focus towards
something besides graphics.
2. What PSU was used in this review? Did they say, and I just
missed it?

Well, I had an Opteron @ 2700, 2 gigs of ram, and an X1900Xt. And I
still had more fun with Project Gotham Racing 3. To be fair, my
interest in gaming is waning fast. For $400 it does more than what I
would've ever hoped for.

you know, playing the demo of ghost recon on the PC, i realized the
x360 version has more effects. Such as Realtime shadowing and
lighting, the overall coloring looks better and more realistic...
WHY? This is a puzzling issue. Just like NFS MW also. I NEVER
understood that. Don't give me this b/s about how the X360 is
"More powerful" 'cause i know it's not.

I'm a quality not quantity person in general, so high resolution
doesn't do anything for me. I'd rather see superior quality in the
graphics at any resolution. That's why I choose ATI for my cards.
Much more quaility time after time with ATI over nVidia.

Who cares about real time lighting, when the game is crap? If all
you want is real time lighting, then why dont you just look out of
your window.
