JCal goes over some old game franchises in need of sequels. He gets the usual suspects, the obscure, and the unexpected... but hey, where's my Terra Nova sequel?!

NOLF2 was one of the best 3D shooters Ive ever played. And it was witty. I prefer those 3D shooters that aint build on a high pace, but where you can calm down & sneak around. And offcourse has snipers. Also AvP was great. Novalogic's game was just boring to me.

Tribes3

T:V was a complete disaster and nothing like what the fans wanted.
I wish Garage Games would make T3, but they seem to be working on the engine to let others do it.

Agree on Shogo and Alien vs predator great games.

And hell yes, we need a non-Vivendi related good successor to Tribes. Yes there was Tribes 2 that became great after the fact, but cursed on release and real crap embarassements like TV that shoudlnt have the Tribes label. Halo lovers havent a clue what game it was wworking to emulate. BF2 key commands, commander mode bah been there in 1999.

Come on GG bring it back in full glory on TSE. Show these new school knuckleheads who innovated large scale team based mulitplayer combat that wasnt slow as mollasses.

I'd be all over a new NOLF game. Loved the original, and I've got Spy In HARM's Way waiting in the wings to play.

Great article. I can't disagree with any of the games mentioned. They are all classics. And the old cliche applies; they don't make them like that anymore. In fact I still have the orignal games boxes for Dark Forces: Jedi Knight, No One Live Forever 1 and 2 and Shogo and AVP prominently decorating my study/game room to this day. I should dust of the old girls and give them a whirl for old times sake.
