Ideazon is back from their first flailing attempts at producing a gaming keyboard, this time with the Merc. JCal puts the toy through its paces and gives us the results here.

Oops...sorry about that I guess I wasn't clear :( My response to your question was "Yes I fear giving criticism unless I can remain anonymous". It is not my intention to be the grammar police, (I'm not even sure if this is how to use a comma) I just find that the number of type-os and nebulously worded sentences detracts from the quality of the review.

Oh while I'm still under the aegis of anonymity...wouldn't it be easier to just learn the correct usage of a word and stick to it rather than having varied uses based on 'importance'?

I wasnt talking about you complaining about them, I was talking about you policing my grammar when I didnt use you're correctly. That was the point of my whole post...not about them scaredy pants =P
Time to wait for the next grammar special agent to bust me or someone else posting on a internet comment system.

And yes I agree they should have correct spelling and not have typos...they are professional "journalists" or writers and I am not.

Bah. I give up. I know you claim to read your articles before you post them but you clearly don't. Even the little summary of your review ends mid sentence :(

Why post anon, your obviously afraid of giving criticism unless its behind the veil of an anon.

Fine. I'm a huge coward...did this admission fix the type-os or improve the quality of the article?

It certainly did not change the meaning of "your" to "you're/you are".

Yes mistakes happen but someone should have caught a few of these random things.

unique feature of being able to life the entire keyboard – life/lift type-o

The other keys surround the rest and can do a number of functions – what keys surround what?

In addition to the previously mentioned fact of moving the print screen button to the gaming side, the Home/End keys have been merged with the number keys on the right side which means that in order to activate those number keys you will have to toggle the numbers keys on. – sentences are not fragile things…they do not require this much padding.

the bottom of the gaming portion of the Merc sloops down – Huh? It turns into a boat?

I don’t personally use the numbers key on the right side much so this didn’t really affect me. – I guess this might just be a style thing…but what do I gain from knowing that? Just remain objective (as you did in this review) and let the reader decide how the info applies to them.

As a work keyboard the Merc is quite good. The buttons themselves are quite responsive and don’t feel slippery which is quite frankly – Quite often I find a thesaurus to be quite useful and quite easy to use.

We recommend going to the Zboard web site to download – You did?

Then you actually go and play America’s Army with the Merc’s keyboard now set up to play the game. - Thank you Captain Obvious

A treat to use the keyboard in playing titles that the Merc supports for its mod files – I get it already … you need game specific mod files

We missed the fact that the Merc lacked the two on board USB ports that the original Zboard has – pick a tense (type-o?)

If the favorite games that you play are supported by the Merc’s mod files you should experience a much more fun and immersive experience with the left side gamepad – ok but how about my in-game experience?

Ideazon proves that with the Merc keyboard that they can create a PC gaming keyboard that, if your favorite games support it (and if you are not an RTS player), will be a big help to both causal gamers all the way up to players trying to win that big tournament – Again this could be a style thing but the wording is kind of odd here. You can probably just say something like: “…will be a big help to gamers of all skill levels”

Its funny when people want to be grammar police on the internet, we are posting on a video game site. Its not like we are writing an essay or writing something very important so why the fvck do we care?! Because some guy is going to post about your and you're because thats his only rebuttal to an argument? No I dont give two shits about my grammar on a posting that no one will care about a day or two later! I'll worry about grammar when I type or write important things, not when im talking shit to some anon on firingsquad haha. You still didnt respond to what I said....

I love my original ZBoard, all you need is the board and the crossfire module and you have a gaming keyboard and a regular one, all you have to do is switch them when you need a certain one.
