| | (Post a comment) » Some (Slight) New Details On Next Id GameThe Spike cable TV channel's Game Head show on Saturday night was taped at QuakeCon 2006 a few weeks ago, where a couple of more details were revealed about id Software's untitled next internal game. While it's been known for some time that this new game will be an all new franchise and not a sequel to a previous id game, lead game designer Tim Willits revealed that id is not going to take a huge leap in game graphics for their next game as they have for their previous titles. "We are actually holding back a bit because we want to have a lot more CPU power for the gameplay, for the interaction, for the AI, for the driving, for all those types of things." id's master programmer John Carmack admitted that while their next game will be an action title, it will be a new direction for id rather than a corridor themed first person shooter.
