| What a completely obvious predictable move by nVidia.
Ever since 7900GT's came out back in March, when overclockers figured out how to over-ride the voltage signal, they noticed the huge potential in the G71 chip. Its more efficient, smaller, cheaper, and overclocks like crazy without needing any extravagent cooling.
For the slightly defective 7900GS cores, I wonder if they still use 1.2V. And although some manufactures shipped 500, 520 and even 550 Mhz OC versions of 7900GT at stock 1.2V its really pushing the luck. I wouldn't be surprised if they had upped it to 1.25V or even 1.3V.
Finally, 7900GT phased out with 7950 up there near 7900GTX.. with the 512MB no longer to distinguish them, will sales of GTX's fall?» Login to reply to this
