FiringSquad recently did an extensive interview for the upcoming Mad Doc Software-Bethesda Softworks space based action-strategy game
but with our Star Trek week this week we decided to get a brief update on the game courtesy of Mad Doc associate producer Gary Conti:
FiringSquad: First, it was recently announced that all five Trek TV captains would be contributing to the voice action for Star Trek: Legacy? Was it hard to get all five actors on board for the game?
Gary Conti: It started out as a crazy idea, and at first it was very slow going, but just as we were about to give up, it all came together. Now that it's over - I can tell you it was completely worth it!
FiringSquad: What was it like working with the actors on their roles? Did it take a while for them to get into character?
Gary Conti:It was fantastic. All five were friendly and professional; it was truly a treat. The sessions went smoothly - they are all so familiar with those characters that they just stepped right into them.
FiringSquad: In the recent Game Informer magazine it was revealed that Trek historical battles might be included as downloadable content. Can you give us an update on those plans?
Gary Conti:No word on that yet, we’re still hard at work here locking the game down, adding a sparkling layer of polish, and practicing our Deathmatch skills so we’ll be unbeatable on Xbox Live when the game ships this fall.
FiringSquad: Can you give us any more info on a possible playable demo for the game and/or mod tools for the PC version?
Gary Conti:We currently don’t plan on releasing a demo for the game, and we can’t give specifics on modding tools yet.
FiringSquad: Finally is there anything else you wish to say about Star Trek: Legacy on this week of Trek's 40th anniversary?
Gary Conti:We’ll be celebrating this Star Trek milestone at the office this week, but it will be brief, as we’re very close to completion. The end of the wait is near, and we’re excited that people will be playing the game this fall!
