| Anyway, excellent preview of upcoming technology I thought. I'm hoping I can get away with skipping the entire DDR2 memory generation, though that will probably only work if Intel comes out with a DDR3 chipset soon enough as I don't think I can wait until '08 for AMD.
Also, I saw that there's rumors of an NVidia water cooler again. I hope the rumors turn out to be true this time especially if they can get the cost down close to that of an air cooler. Putting on my own water block now adds another $100 to the cost of an already very expensive gaming card and makes it difficult to upgrade, but it is well worth the addition cost in my opinion not to have the loud whine of the fan or worse have the fan fail after a year of continuous use.» Login to reply to this |
