The Game Creators make their living by releasing game creation tools and their best known product is FPSCreator, a drag-and-drop program that's used specifically to create primative looking but working stand alone first person shooter games. A new version of FPSCreator is going to be released in 2007 that will support Windows Vista and DirectX10. They have released some screenshots that show off what a game created with the new version will look like. Again the graphics are still behind the curve of a game like Crysis but it's a huge visual leap from the previous version.

A good leap forward. Hopefully we'll start getting some quality indie FPS titles from this. I know I'll probably be using it when it comes out. My coding skills can't seem to improve beyond atrocious, so this is somewhat of a God-send if it is all that (and a bag of chips).

Looks like it uses a primitive Unreal 2 engine. Still, maybe this is something the industry needs. If it is simply a "drag and drop" builder, than it will have a bigger appeal to the mainstream...
