» Gamecock To Crash E3 2007?

As you may know the founders of the recently revealed Gamecock Media game publisher were largely the founders of the original Gathering of Developers. G.O.D. had a couple of memorable E3 events a few years ago in Los Angeles when they hosted a loud and attention getting party at a parking lot just across the street from E3's former home at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Now it appears that Gamecock is planning to do something similar when the new invite only E3 is held in Santa Monica this July. We got a note from Gamecock's PR folks with the following info:

As you know, Gamecock is all about promoting the artists and bringing original games into this bloated and originality-starved industry. Gamecock is talking about plans for an E.I.E.I.O. – Expo for Interactive Entertainment: Independent and Original – Fun Fest 2007 – to be held on the same days as E3. What do you think? It would be great to have an event that supports the “uninvited” – the industry’s best and most talented studios.

We hope to get more info on this new venture from Gamecock co-founder Mike Wilson very soon.
