 Tiger Woods Out...Until August!

| | (Post a comment) » Removed: FSAA Comparison: V5500/ GF2If you're looking for our first FSAA comparison article, we've decided to yank it from the site. After a good deal of internal discussion today, we decided on this course of action because the protocols used in the first article were not the best possible way to base a comparison. As mentioned before, we're working on a new comparison test involving two identically configured machines, sitting side by side.
FSAA is a very complex topic, and it's certainly a feature that cannot be characterized, measured, or compared by any traditional means. Because of that, we're going to handle the new article with even more care and attention than anything we've ever done before. FiringSquad is committed to providing the highest quality content. We're not going to be satisfied with anything less than our best possible effort. | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

Uh, buddy.... First of all, the GeForce2's FSAA is HARDWARE, not
software like on the regular GF256. Second, you don't need to sit
there whining and cursing about it, if you have a problem with the
article, don't read it... what a wonderful thought, huh?
But at least, if you're gonna complain about it, keep the language
appropriate, while I don't really have a problem with profanity,
there could be other readers who DO.

you are supposed to look for the image getting smoother. this
mainly occurs at the edges of walls. look for the images that have
a big color difference in them. it is easier. if you have the
bandwidth. get the targas and bitmaps they dont lose as much
quality.

Who the hell has a gigahertz computer right now? Firingsquad is one
of the best sites b/c they use systems that the average gamer has or
will be getting soon. So go and buy a gigahertz computer and get
your wallet raped.

This is such $!!!&%. You sat firingsquad bums down for a blind
test? For @$### sake man, I`m supposed to believe this was
subjective?
I honestly doubt that software FSAA on the G2GTS is better than the
V5.
The V5 is lacking in framrates right now, but the drivers are beta
and it`ll gain some ground, but your FSAA comparison was full of hot
stinky horseshit.
