 Tiger Woods Out...Until August!

| | (Post a comment) » Has EA Pulled Out Of E For All Expo?Last week IDG World Expo announced with much fanfare that they had secured Electronic Arts as one of their main exhibitors for their inaugural E For All Expo event to be held at the old E3's location of Los Angeles in mid-October. The announcement was also made on the event's official web site. Now there is some doubt as to EA's actual participation in the event. In checking the E For All Expo web site late on Tuesday FiringSquad discovered that the previous EA exhibitor announcement had been removed from the blog section of the site (the cached site can still be found on Google) as well as the official press release (that too is cached on Google<). Furthermore the Flash based revolving list of logos of companies that were planning to attend the event no longer shows the EA logo. FiringSquad has contacted both EA and IDG World Expo for comment. As we exclusively reported last week the inaugural E For All Expo is having trouble convincing a large number of major game publishers to attend with Sony, Sony Online, NCSoft, Sega, Capcom, Midway and Disney Interactive all confirming to FiringSquad that they would not be attending the show (a report on Gamesindustry.biz that Microsoft has also decided not to attend has not been independently confirmed by FiringSquad). In addition, FiringSquad has also learned on Tuesday through their respective spokespersons that Activision and D3Publisher also have no plans to attend E For All Expo. We will have more info on this news story as it develops. | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

| | What is the point of this event if the biggest names in the industry are not lending their support to it? I see this event going nowhere fast. All it is going to end up becoming is a comic book convention without any real purpose ... oh well I know I have no desire to check this out. » Login to reply to this |
