 Tiger Woods Out...Until August!

| | (Post a comment) » Activision Silent On New Wolfenstein Game StatusAs we reported earlier this week, Activision execs talked in their regular quarterly financial conference call about the game publisher's upcoming game line up. While they mentioned plans for new Call of Duty, Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero, James Bond and Dreamworks Animation games in their fiscal 2009 time period one title that was not mentioned was Wolfenstein, a new game based on id Software's debut first person shooter series. The game was first announced over two years ago at Microsoft's X05 European press event for release on the Xbox 360 and PC with Raven Software handling the development chores and id Software supervising the efforts. Since the initial announcement, however, there has been little info on the status of the game and id declined to give a status report on Wolfenstein at QuakeCon this past August. Following the Activision conference call, FiringSquad contacted the publisher to get an update on the status of Wolfenstein but an company spokesperson told us, "At this time, we don’t have any further information regarding your question." FiringSquad has also contacted id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead for more info but so far we have not received a response.
In a related note, Activision told FiringSquad it did not have any more info on the status of the previously announced Xbox 360 and PS3 ports of the recently released PC multiplayer shooter Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. The console ports were also not mentioned in Activision's quarterly conference call. | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |
