| | I'm not sure how Nissan's drive, but I do know how a Mini Cooper S drives, and based on that criterion GT5 is less realistic than PGR, much less some of the better sims out there. Name the category - from outright handling, weight transfer characteristics or acceleration/braking, GT5 gets everything wrong. Granted I don't own a driving wheel, but the whole feel of the car and its performance envelop are totally divergent from reality. I feel the same about the model they used for high horsepower/RWD cars, but since i've never gotten to drive one can't comment specifically... GT5 will be worth getting when it comes out simply because its GT5, but do yourself a $40 favor and wait until then. Its not that pretty and its not that fun. just my two cents... » Login to reply to this |

| | The cars are rendered perfectly. The lighting is awsome. The aliasing is inexcusable. Whether that's Sony's fault or Polyphony Digital's fault, I don't care. It's a zit on an otherwise beautiful face that I just can't see past. Well, that and I wasn't overly impressed with the rest of the details of the scenes presented in the screen captures. They were flat and boring. The far distant textures look good, certainly, but what's up with the cotton candy grass and the lack of textures in the rest of the scene? Outside of the cars, the foreground just lacks any sort of detail. So maybe graphics aren't the most important thing. 5 tracks. $40. Requires an investment in a steering wheel for full enjoyment? Maybe if that $40 included the steering wheel... And maybe if the rest of the PS3 experience didn't suck so bad... 95%? Good Lord. » Login to reply to this |
