» Gears of Wars 2 not coming to PC

In an interview with IGN, Epic's Cliff Bleszinski confirmed that Epic will not be porting Gears of War 2 to the PC platform:
Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around.

Well i must say that i am not happy with this decision but thats fine, i can save my PC gaming dollars for something else, more likely Empires Total War and Dawn of War 2. But if Epic change there mind that would be good too

This is just a sales ploy to get the maximum number of people to pick up the Xbox version instead of holding out for a PC version.

They originally said there would be no PC port of the first Gears way back when. Look how that turned out.

Big deal, GOW was a great game in the console, but a mediocre game on the PC. It happens all the time, so if GOW2 is not coming out on the PC then no huge loss. If it was designed to be on the PC first, then we're better off not getting a second hand half-ass port attempt from Epic. People bitching not being able to play the game, just wait 2 more years when the price of a used 360 goes down to less than $100 and the game can be found for $13. By then, if the game is truly great it will still hold it's appeal and you can enjoy it even more knowing Epic didn't get a single cent from you.

Happy gaming and a PC gamer's sweet revenge.

It's still an FPS on a console. We all know FPS games on a console is about as exciting and hardcore as Paris Hilton's sex tape. For those that haven't seen the sex tape imagine a girl sleeping and that is about the kind of reaction seen in the tape.

GoW is not a First Person Shooter...

Also, while I prefer M&K over a controller any day of the year, that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate a good console shooter.

Having said thaqt, GoW isn't a good console shooter.

Because I don't care whether a game comes out on the console or PC. I have both and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
