» More ATI DX11 card shots surface

It looks like Chiphell has scored more exclusive shots of ATI's upcoming DX11 hardware. We all remember the watermarked high-end card from a few weeks ago right? Well this time their board shot is of ATI's mainstream offering, the cooler appears to be borrowed from Radeon 4870. Also interesting are the display outputs: 2 DVIs, HDMI, and DisplayPort can all be found on the backplate of the card. (Spotted on Expreview)

i wish they would have used a different and larger fan that is much quieter then it is on the current heatsink for the 48xx series.

I am actually excited again for this coming generation.

Mainstream performance is pretty high since Nvidia pulled out the 8800GT 2 years ago.

I'm interested to see if these cards are going to pull ahead of that, or if we are going to see a regression back towards craptacular performance out of mainstream cards compared to what the high-ends are offering.

With Intel offering on CPU graphics and consoles having a huge effect on games I think we will see the mainstream become the target which really it already is. The high end cards only make up like 2% of the sales. Now on I see it about being able to play the latest console port at 80FPS or more. If you can do that you have a gaming machine.
