(Post a comment) » The Sims Online ReviewThe illustrious Tom Chick set aside his manhood to play The Sims Online, like only a professional game reviewer could. Fortunately the prolonged stay in the virtual world hasn't affected his keen critical mind, and he came back to us in one piece with perhaps the best TSO review ever. Please, a moment of silence for the masculinity of this American Hero, before we click and read! | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

Nice review. Any article that alludes to both Sartre and The Glass
Menagerie can't be all bad...

I got suckered into buying The Sims 2 years ago. What a waste. The
only fun was using the money cheat and designing a dream home. The
actual gameplay was boring. Good review with an accurate rating.

...why the hell is his rating a 2? That gripe at the beginning
represents just under zero percent cognition.

Yea, I had a problem with this game too, it seems that in the
original Sims version, we could speed up time so mundane tasks like
building up skills didn't take forever.
However, the online version has real people playing, so we all have
to play the game in real-time, which means that it takes a crap load
of time to learn a skill..
Frankly, I don't have the time to be on TSO for 4 hours a day, I
really wanted to play like 30 minutes a day, maximum. This game is
for people who have the time to devote many hours a day to their
Sims character.
And this game has been in beta so long, and there still are bugs,
even though my friends submitted the bugs for fixing, EA didn't fix
some of them yet.

I played the TSO beta for four hours and then got bored the game.
There was absolutely nothing to do and the novelty of getting pile
drived by someone else wears quickly. Best moment was when I
interrupted a couple of cybering losers by moving my bear character
infront of them and started farting.

Or maybe it's 60% of Sims Online players are actually old bald
blokes pretending to be female. :)
