| | (Post a comment) » C&C Generals ReviewIt took us a bit longer than we expected, but we made sure to play the game online when everyone else had to game too, and boy did a few things about Generals surprise Jakub! With all the effort he put into the game, he says he's got the definitive C&C Generals review? Care to read it and see if ( for once -ed.) Jake has the cajones to back his talk up? | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

I thought the game was !@@$ fun. The unit AI, however, was #@&%. The
enemy AI is fine as long as you set it on "brutal",
though, and if you played against "normal" from the start
then you're not a hardcore gamer.
Anyways, the netcode sucks due to GameSpy Daily. I had the same
problem with it on Renegade (yes, I actually played it... some).

"I forgot to mention them. I don't think hackers,
the black market and supply drop are a really good
solution to the money problems later in a game."
#1. Lame excuse for leaving it out.
#2. Just plain Untrue. Maybe you should actually try using them.

Fanboys abound. I would much rather have a game without polished
menus etc (C&C G) than polished menus with no game (WC3).
Saying that the units are frail compared to war3 is asinine. If
anything, the HIGHER DAMAGE inflicted by the units makes positioning
and angle of attack more important than in an RTS(?) that is so
forgiving of poor attack position that the first hit matter not.
Tactics like flanking actually matter in Generals.
